The lights are on
Half-Genie Hero, the Kickstarter hopeful fourth entry in the Shantae series, has added Vita as platform.
It's not a stretch goal. As long as the game makes its base goal of $400,000, it will release on Vita, as well as the recently announced Vita TV.
With 23 days to go, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is more than halfway to its goal at just over $228,000.
Our TakeShantae is a quality series that always seems to release on the wrong platforms. The first game released on the Game Boy Color shortly after the Game Boy Advance released. The second game released on the DSi's eShop – Nintendo's stop-gap handheld between the DS and the 3DS. The third Shantae game is coming to 3DS this year. That one should be okay. For the fourth Shantae, developer WayForward seems to be throwing up its hands to say, "We're just going to release it on everything!" I'm hopeful that this plan of attack will be a beneficial one.

Maybe the game will get the recognition it deserves.
Sometimes, redundancy can be a good thing. Sometimes, redundancy can be a good thing. Sometimes, redundancy can be a good thing. Sometimes, redundancy can be a good thing.
I played shantae's revenge on the 3ds shop, I thought it was a pretty awesome game. The sprite-work should look pretty good on the vita.
This is great news that Shantae is coming to the Vita and Vita tv in the future. Wayforward has been getting better and better overtime. ^_^
Anyone else think this chick would be perfect in the new smash bros?
may very well donate to this. could always use more Vita games
That handheld is gradually gaining momentum, and i feel like any game with it included tends to bring in more support. Game looks great, hope they reach the goal
Hope the kickstarter works out for them, hate to see the little genie vanish into obscurity.
Nice! This games got my interest. And thank god it's coming to the Vita!!
I know it's supposed to be an HD game, but I really wish I could have all four games on my 3DS.
Wonder how it'll do on the tv aspect...
Looks pretty interesting. I actually hadn't heard of it until now.
