The lights are on
Beyond: Two Souls gameplay – where you control protagonist Jodie Holmes as well as a mysterious entity linked to her – is intriguing, and what better way to get a handle on it than play the game's demo.
The demo comes out on October 1, and the official PlayStation Blog says that there will also be chances for select gamers to start playing it on September 24 (with more info on that to still to come).
Here's a description of the demo's contents, straight from Sony:
Jodie & Aiden: Join a very young Jodie as she takes part in an experiment at the Department of Paranormal Activities. As officials put her abilities to the test, you take charge of a mysterious, invisible entity.
You can also take a look at the game's new trailer, which goes over the process by which developer Quantic Dream fleshed out the game's characters and environments.
Beyond: Two Souls comes out for the PlayStation 3 on October 8.

Our Take:Beyond: Two Souls – from both a story and gameplay perspective – was always going to be a tougher to sell to the mainstream, so hopefully the demo can successfully initiate the curious and those on the fence.
