Rockstar Creates Real-Life Bravado Banshee

by Jeff Marchiafava on Sep 03, 2013 at 10:29 AM

In celebration of GTA V's upcoming release, Rockstar Games has teamed up with West Coast Customs to recreate one of the series' most prized sports cars. Find out how you can win it.

The Bravado Banshee originally appeared in GTA III, and was based on the Dodge Viper RT/10. The coveted sports car has evolved into its own beast in subsequent installments of the series, and Rockstar decided that GTA V's rendition was worthy of a real-life version. Both the exterior and interior have been crafted to match the in-game model of GTA V's Banshee, down to the custom seats embroidered with the Banshee name and insignia.

GTA fans have a chance to win the car through GameStop's Epic Reward Giveaway, and can use their PowerUp Rewards points to enter the drawing multiple times. The contest ends September 30. Learn more about the car and see more pictures at Rockstar's website.

GTA V releases on September 17 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. For information on how you can pimp out your in-game cars, read our GTA V Customization Q&A.

Our Take
From unveiling the box art via a Manhattan mural to real-life sports cars, Rockstar is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the latest installment of the Grand Theft Auto series. Frankly, I wouldn't expect anything less from the developer. I fully expect two more weeks of hoopla leading up to GTA V's release, after which I'll likely be too busy playing the game to notice any post-release shenanigans.
