The lights are on
Most of the 13 regions that will get the Xbox One in November won't be able to experience the system's vaunted Kinect voice commands at launch.
The news was revealed in an update to the Xbox One official product page, hidden in a footnote at the bottom which reads: "Xbox voice commands will not be available in all markets on the product release date. Voice commands will be available at launch in US, UK, CA, FR, and DE."
So, unless you live in the U.S., U.K., Canada, France, or Germany, you'll have to wait for voice commands. The remaining countries where the Xbox One is launching in November are Australia, Austria, Brazil, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, and New Zealand.
Our Take:While a lack of voice commands isn't a dealbreaker by any means, it's odd that a feature that was so hyped in Microsoft's initial Xbox One reveal event is going to be missing for millions of gamers at launch. It's disappointing news. Let's hope that Microsoft gets a patch out for the remaining launch countries sooner rather than later.

It looks like everyday it more bad news for Microsoft. It like the previous console battle but in reverse. First all the reverse in the console, shipping problems and now its major feature they touted for months is not avaliable at launch. I think they just need to reset and push back the launch until they rethink and work out everything before launching cause the way it shaping up there's no way they're be ready for a launch before ps4.
I can't imagine how hard it must be to get voice recognition to understand a multitude of accents and languages. Languages themselves are easy, it's the accents that must suck recognizing. Then you have people who may pronounce things differently or have a slightly different accent then others.
Must suck being the person or people who have to account for all of that.
And you still get to pay $100 for it. Lol
Lol I don't think Microsoft has a pr department anymore
And the hits just keep on comin'.......
This shows that X1 it's being rushed. Just like KI and Forza 5.
Didn't Microsoft say that the reason why they reduce the numbers of luanch countries was to customize the Xbox for those country? This bit news seems to tell a different story, that it may have been production issue that made them drop a handful of country and not what they originally said.
still useless, unless you're lazy to press the button.
The list just keeps getting smaller and smaller. Next headline: Xbox one ____ only in three countries, after that xbox one ____ only in the US.
