The lights are on
In conjunction with the Wii U price drop and 2DS announcements, Nintendo has confirmed the dates and prices for its fall 2013 titles. Here's when you can expect both The Legend of Zelda titles, Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, and more.
Here's the info straight from Nintendo.
Here are a number of third-party Wii U titles on the way this fall:
Additionally, Nintendo has conveniently shared the launch dates of a number of third-party titles:
Our TakeI'm glad to have some of these dates finally. I'm eager to pick up Wind Waker HD and Link Between Worlds. Some of the pricing decisions are interesting, with first-party Wii U prices fluctuating between $49.99 and $59.99. The price discrepancy is even broader when you consider that Wii Party U comes with a Wii Remote Plus and still carries the lower price point. Nintendo has put a premium price tag on Mario 3D World, while Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze will come in $10 lower.
It's hard not to read into the pricing a bit and infer something about Nintendo's perception of the titles' relative quality. We'll have to wait for reviews to see if retail price has any relation to enjoyment, though.

I think the prices are lower just to try and boost those titles audiences. Mario is gonna sell just because but Donkey Kong is not guaranteed like Mario is.
Why is Wind Waker 49.99.....??????
i cant wait
Good to see everything is coming out late November/early December. It'll give me some time to save my moolas.
And I foresee interest in the Wii-U springing up for the holiday season. It'll be interesting to see how console sales go as a result of the first party title releases.
Where in the world are the new IP's? A new console followed by a line-up of this mish-mash? Nintendo used to be known as THE creative force in the gaming world. It seems like they don't trust themselves to deliver the goods anymore. Still no original Metroid or Zelda. That in itself is a fracking crime. Oh well, the wait will continue on my purchase of the WiiU. I haven't given up hope yet but that day is coming soon :(
I have A Link Between Worlds Pre-ordered!
The Zeldas and Donkey Knog Country are the only things Nintendos Only that look remotely interesting, that said for DK Country I wish they had come up with a better name than the Tropical Frezze. And since I think it doesnt has any of Little Big Planets robust customization, or the create your own level tools, I say it should also have been a 3DS game or at least a cross buy.
Way to go Nintendo, keep the game releases and updates coming. ^_^
