The lights are on
Nintendo's flow of announcements today continues with the news that The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will indeed be bundled with the Wii U system.
The $299 limited edition bundle – which is a GameStop exclusive [Full disclosure: Game Informer is owned by GameStop] – can be pre-ordered now and is listed to release on September 20. The retail version of the game comes out on October 4. Earlier this week the bundle was rumored, and today we learned about the Wii U's new price and earlier release date (September 20) for the digital version of Wind Waker HD.
It includes a 32GB custom Wind Waker Wii U, a download version of the game, and a download for The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia – an exhaustive book about the franchise.
Our Take:In the context of the Wii U's new $299 price, this is great news for anyone already on the cusp of getting the system since it means your basically getting the game for free.

AWESOME, really want one.
I just might have to get a Wii U now. Well played, Nintendo, well played.
This makes me want to get a Wii U. I'll have to convince my older brother to split the cost with me, lol, because I know he'd enjoy this as well.
I wonder how much spending money I have...
i want a super smash brothers bundle when it comes out
My god I want to play this!! No way am I going to be able to wait until October for the beautiful retail box copy. Digital it is! Only thing missing for the WiiU is Off-TV Play with Wifi :(. Oh well, maybe some day Nintendo will release an updated version of the Gamepad to compete with the PS4\Vita duo. Might have to move the WiiU upstairs so that I can enjoy this awesome game in my bed.
BAH, I really want to play Wind Waker HD. I always said I wouldn't bother to get the Wii U unless they do a Wind Waker HD, sure enough it's the first thing they do. I NEVER even turn on my Wii though and I kind of think that's exactly what will happen again.
I know Windwaker was an great game. In fact it would be the best if not for the cartoonish design, but ¿why isn't Nintendo giving up on its remake spree?
With this announcement I am leaning toward buying a Wii U, I really want to play monster hunters again and this also comes with Wind Waker practically free.
If I had the money, I would definitely pre-order it. Sadly... I'm going to have to wait a while longer for a Wii U.
If ninty would allow any nintendo network/club nintendo regestered games to be played on ANY wii u I might get this as the zelda gp design is cool but there should have been a triforce emblazoned on the system itself.
I have a 3TB hdd for games but can't use it on more than 1 wii u so this would do me no good...
