The lights are on
Microsoft has announced that three of its platform exclusives coming alongside the Xbox One launch will be getting extra content in the first wave. If you're considering Ryse: Son of Rome, Dead Rising 3, or Forza 5, this information is for you.
Forza Motorsport 5 is getting a "Day One Car Pack." It includes the 2010 Audi TT RS Coupe, the 2013 Ford Focus ST, and the 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera. Each comes with a Xbox One Day One themed livery, which you can see in the gallery below.
Dead Rising 3 comes with a couple of throwback costumes. The Frank West outfit comes with his zombie slugger and custom skills. It also boosts melee damage and survivor health. The Chuck Greene outfit comes with the paddle saw and perk boosts for vehicle and weapon durability.
Finally, Ryse: Son of Rome gets the Legionnaire's Trust sword and the Ruins co-op map. The Ruins map can be played by those that don't have it if invited by a Day One user.
These benefits also translate to digital purchases made during the first two week's of the Xbox One life cycle.

Our TakeAs important as hardware sales are, the early attach rate is just as critical. These incentives aim to help Microsoft boost that critical stat that they can then take back to publishers as evidence of the platform's strength.
I expect that those on the fence about Forza or Dead Rising might be nudged toward an earlier purchase. A sword and a map for Ryse: Son of Rome doesn't seem terribly compelling, though.

Pretty cool I guess but that Chuck Greene costume looks a little odd in the screenshot, the Frank West one looks awesome though.
Definitely going to get Forza 5, it's probably my favorite racing series right now. Dead Rising 3 looks intriguing too, but I'll have to see more.
Cars and skins don't really interest me, but a co-op map could be cool.
Am I the only one who thinks the Ryse screens look like...absolute trash? Even for the current hardware we have, they look pretty bad.
This is cool and all, but the only thing that seems worth it would be the Forza exclusive content. Who cares about a costume aside from hardcore fans? And I doubt Rise will sell very well, the gameplay just isn't as "gripping" as it should be.
So.... is that a "Thank you!".... or a bribe? Hmmmm lol
GRAPHICS, I kinda like the extra map for Ryse, I might pick it up on day one now, Dead Risng's stuff is cool but I can't afford more then 2 games unless I miraculously find 400 bucks (I haven't even finished paying off my Xbox One preorder) and Forza, if you like simulation racers, that looks good, wish I could get it but I am looking more towards need for speed
wil wait for the console to get cheaper and come with a good bundle
None of these games interests me in the slightest. One of the reason I am currently favoring PS4 is that in the last two years I think I have bought exactly one xbox exclusive and 4 PS3 exclusives.
I know it's sort of unreasonable, but I was expecting more. Especially since these are the first batch of Next Gen exclusives.
Seems pretty weak to me.
