Student Suspends Himself From A Tree With The Oculus Rift To Simulate Skydiving
College student Dan Borenstein has been tinkering with assorted Oculus powered simulations, and his latest experiment involved suspending himself in the air to play SkyDIEiving, an Oculus Rift skydiving simulator.
You can check out the video below to see Borenstein doing his best to retain his lunch while simulating the act of skydiving.
Borenstein spoke with VentureBeat about the project and said, "It’s an awesome experience. I can’t say I would want to do a long session of gaming, but in terms of immersion, this is fun." Borenstein said that he has always been interested in skydiving, but is scared to actually jump out of plane.
