The lights are on
Microsoft is proud of its Xbox One controller, and rightly so. We're fans of the new input device, and Microsoft put together a video and an infographic to showcase all the work that went into its creation.
You can check out the video below, where Microsoft's controller designer break down all the functions, changes, and minor touches that make the new controller lovely to hold. You can also see the infographic that details the new additions in text form.

Our TakeA few of our editors have already spent quite a bit of time with the new controller, and they always come away with good impressions. I was only able to hold the controller for a few moments at E3 for a technical demo of the device's capabilities, and even in that short amount of time, I liked what I felt. New controllers are always tricky for a new console, but early impressions make it seem like Microsoft and Sony both did a good job.

I got that picture in an email from microsoft two days ago.
The Xbox haters are really getting old now. We get it your panties have been twisted and there is no changing that. Microsoft could come out and say all games will be free for a year and all you would hear is "too little too late xbone". Why would you bother reading about this controller if you are "sooo over xbox"? The fact is this controller is awesome and the PS4 controller will also be awesome and both consoles will be awesome and basically play all the same games.
Although I never really did like the Xbox 360 controller, I do admire how Microsoft has gone out of their way to improve on a controller people think as great. I do prefer the Dualshock 4, but this controller looks great.
If the D-pad is better, I can't really argue with this controller being better than the 360's. I prefered the 360's controller last gen due to the cheap feeling plastic used for PS3's triggers. If Sony makes better triggers on their new controllers, I doubt they'll be very few differences other than stick placement.
I like it, too. Haven't actually held one in my hands yet but I'm definitely getting one for my PC when it's out.

Can't wait for the Controller, and the Console.
"I liked what I felt" - Gameinformer LOL Microsoft should've used this quote
again i knew all this
Let's do it Quintin! Yeh!
Am I the only one that cares about the UI? What will the new achievement system be like?
No More Hardware Videos please...
I do like the improvements they've made. My problem is Microsoft likes to rob you of your consumer rights. Also, the Xbox One is a huge piece of ***.
I'll gladly take the PS4 with it's superior GPU and much faster RAM. Also, the Xbox One is a huge smelly pile of elephant ***.
This controller is the main reason why I still have a strong interest in Xone. Although the PS4 controller actually looks like it might actually feel right for a change of pace.
I'm currently not planning on buying an Xbox One, but I gotta say this controller looks pretty nice.
