The lights are on
At Sony's Gamescom conference today, a price drop for the Vita and memory cards was announced.
The PlayStation Vita will now cost $200 and 200 euros. Sony also confirmed plans to price drop its Vita memory cards.
This is great news for those who were on the fence about buying the handheld, and even better for those looking to upgrade their storage space, especially with more options to buy games digitally.
Is this enough to finally make you splurge on a Vita? Let us know in the comments below!

I saw that some retailers dropped the price early, Amazon and Best Buy were the ones I saw it on for 200. I am glad they are doing this. I have been looking to get a Vita.
While I haven't been hand-helding it for a long while (hand-helds aren't really my thing to begin with), this is still great news. If the PS4 integration really works out and I'm able to find interest in more PSVita games and not just PSP ones, I'll strongly consider getting one.
There's definitely a few games I want to play on Vita and seeing this price drop is nice. I might get one a little sooner than expected. Better yet would be some sort of PS4/Vita bundle.
Well, looks like it's about time to pick one up!
I may just buy a vita now.
Very nice, the Vita just got more interesting!
