The lights are on
At Sony's Gamescom conference today, a price drop for the Vita and memory cards was announced.
The PlayStation Vita will now cost $200 and 200 euros. Sony also confirmed plans to price drop its Vita memory cards.
This is great news for those who were on the fence about buying the handheld, and even better for those looking to upgrade their storage space, especially with more options to buy games digitally.
Is this enough to finally make you splurge on a Vita? Let us know in the comments below!

Well for all the people that cried about the price of PS Vita & memory cards there you have it. But really if you think about it who is actually still going to be able and afford it. Looks like it time for you people to get a job LOL.
200 Euros? Isn't that like... more expensive? That sucks for EU people but either way, yaaay price drop. Might get it now, expecially with all the free Vita games I keep getting from PS+
If I wasn't prepping to move in a month yes it is enough to get me to buy. Though, I figure I should hold out for the very likely PS4 VITA Bundle.
Oh thank you, thank you, Sony! Yes, I will buy one!
Nope. No use whatsoever for a handheld system.
YES! I'll get one soon. This is awesome!
still 2 expensive et the mem card are way too expensive considering the price of other bigger cards. i will get this thing when it is btwn 130 to 150 max
purchased one day one and have not regretted it yet
Yay for everyone who does not yet own a Vita. And yay for me who desperately needs more memory ;)
Thank god for the dropped price on the memory cards. Those were such a barrier to getting the system for most people. I refuse to justify paying $80-100 for a 32GB card when I can get a 32GB SD card for $25. Such a rip-off.
YES! Definitely getting this ASAP. I just got a Amazon credit card and I'm itching to use it for something worthwhile. Got to get my credit score going even more =]
