The lights are on
Today at Gamescom in Germany, EA Sports announced the release timeframe for UFC as well as showed off a little gameplay footage of the fighter.
The game will come out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in the spring of 2014. Creative director Brian Hayes said the game is about 9 months from release, which would put it in April or May. We'll call that late spring, then.
In a brief gameplay sequence from an alpha build of the game, Hayes highlighted the fighters' movements, and the aim to keep them from sliding around the ring. He also pointed out the game's visual fidelity and body deformation system as two fighters take the ring and aim to pummel each other.

Nice. I had some fun with the last UFC game released. It wasn't the greatest gameplay, but handled well. I hope they build more on realistic gameplay.
Looking forward to seeing more before release.
