The lights are on
It probably won't apply to a lot of you, but if you happen to buy one of a selected handful of games on your PS3 and then want to get the PS4 copy of that same game, Sony and its partners are going to make it worth your while.
During its Gamescom press conference, Sony announced that for cross-generational games like Call of Duty: Ghosts, Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and Battlefield 4, if you buy the PS3 version, for a limited time Sony will let you buy the digital PS4 version for a "significantly discounted price."
The company didn't say how much or for how long, and other details will be revealed in the future.
[Note: The story was edited to say it's the digital PS4 version.]

I bet the discount will be like half off, so you will end up paying $90 for one game. Wow, thanks Sony! (Sarcasm)
Or, you know, you could just give people a digital copy for PS4 for free since they already own the damn game. Or, just wait until you have a next gen system before you buy it and not spend extra money.
this is a very smart move on sonys part......i wish they wuld let me get my already downloaded games tho
This is a decent idea likely to appeal to almost no one.
They should have just pushed the game releases back so the PS4 would come out first then the games, but that just common sense I guess
... define Significant please.
thats a good thing i plan on taking that offer to the fullest extent
already pre ordered ac4 black flag for ps3. hope its a nice discount on ps4!
its another smart move to do this, but what can we play digital psn games that were bought on ps3s on our ps4?
