The lights are on
A community of fans, discontent with the lack of Morrowind in their Skyrim, is taking matters into their own hands, by rebuilding Morrowind with Skyrim's engine.
According to the project's website's FAQ, "[Skywind] is a non-commercial, fan made modification for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that seeks to merge the amazing world of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind with the enhanced graphics and capabilities of Skyrim's engine."
If you're interested in checking it out, version 0.8 is now available for public download.
This isn't the first project like this built by this community. Morroblivion, similarly, is a mod for the The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion engine that allows players to play Morrowind with the Obliviion engine.
There are a number of trailers showing off both mods on the community's YouTube page. The latest trailer for Skywind is below. Head to the Morroblivion.com to learn more about the project.

Cools Beans, more Elder Scrolls is never a bad thing.
This news is a little late, don't ya think?
Yes. Ive been waiting for this.
As fan of Elder Scroll lore, I would had preferred if they went with how Morrowind actually looks in 4E. That said, this looks pretty interesting.
yeah and it has a crap load of bugs.
If I had anything that resembled a decent gaming pc I'd give this a try. But alas, my pc sucks for games...
the graphics honestly look nice, but i don't think i really want the action game engine of skyrim in morrowind. i'll have to check it out and see. the graphics at least look amazing.
