The lights are on
Overkill Software, the developers behind Payday 2, have big plans to continue to support the game for the coming year.
Speaking with Joystiq, game director, David Goldfarb said, "Payday 2 – just like its predecessor Payday: The Heist – is a living thing. We have 5five DLCs planned together with [publisher] 505 Games for the coming year." Along with paid DLC offerings, Goldfarb also confirmed that there will be plenty of free content, as well.
Goldfarb also said that the team is interested in adding modding tools to the game in the future, but there are no concrete plans at the moment.

Our TakePayday is a game that lives and dies by the strength of its multiplayer community. It's good to see the developers are excited about the future of the game.

Thats a lot more loot to grab, and a lot more heists to (fail) accomplish.
I'm more excited at the prospect of modding tools. I'd love to rob a community-made jewelry store or something.
Sounds good and glad to see it will remain supported.
free content. nice!
Just also a heads up, it said if you pre-order you get the first one called "armored escape" for free. I know this only for the PC version not sure about the other ones.
Can't wait till I get my hands on it after that slip up with the shipping. I've been enjoying the heck out of Dragon's Dogma in the meantime though.
And here i was going to buy this game today but I wont toss a single dime into it until all the DLC's come in one box, sort of speaking
THAT ALL SOUNDS AWESOME! i'm massively addicted to payday 2 atm, i'm lvl 60 i've been playing way too much.. i've done every mission multiple times now and i would welcome some new content. glad that they are supporting it this makes me a very happy porcupine.
