The lights are on
Forza fans can now choose between a few augmented editions of the Xbox One game when it launches with the upcoming holiday system.
FORZA MOTORSPORT 5 LIMITED EDITION ($79.99, above)
Apart form the LE car pack, Day One car pack, and VIP status (all are outlined below), the Limited Edition comes in a steel book case, contains a decal sheet, and includes 1,250 car tokens (which Microsoft says grants you access to any car in the game).
Limited Edition Car Pack: Each of the cars in this pack feature a special LE livery and top-level tuning (stock versions of the cars are also included in the game).
2011 Audi RS 3 Sportback
2012 Aston Martin Vanquish
2013 Ford M Shelby Mustang GT500
2013 McLaren P1
2013 SRT Viper GTS
VIP Membership: Forza 5 VIP members get 2x reward acceleration, access to exclusive multiplayer events, an in-game badge, in-game gifts, and the five cars below. An Xbox Live Gold subscription is required for any online multiplayer features.
1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C
1987 RUF CTR Yellowbird
1991 Mazda #55 787B
2011 Ford F150 SVT Raptor
2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
DAY ONE EDITION ($59.99)
This version comes in special Day One edition packaging that matches the system itself. Also included:
Day One Car Pack: Like the LE car pack, these three rides feature custom liveries and tuning.
2010 Audio TT RS Coupe
2013 Ford Focus ST
Our Take:It's pretty standard fare, but at least the Limited Edition version gives relative value with its VIP membership and tokens. Beats inflating the value of the LE by including meaningless tchotchkes.

Meh...Sticking to the Day One Edition...
I cant choose. It's going to be tough but I think I will have to keep reading up on it. Hopefully the series continues imporving. The last edition was fantastic.
The Xbox One game boxes look amazing.
They should start offering editions with those cars iirc.
Anyone who actually continues to play a Forza title through it's entire lifespan owes it to themselves to penny up for VIP status. Besides the fact that the pack of 5 cars that comes with it this time around is exceptional, VIP exclusive online events means many more chances to win "unicorn" cars, and the occasional discount to DLC that is applied to VIP membership holders can pay for itself over the months.
By the by, anyone who's gonna be picking up Forza 5 feel free to send me a friend request.
diehard forza fan here but the this LE is disappointing. It is almost as bad as the Horizon LE
I always get the Limited Editions for Forza. The Extra cars are great and the VIP bonuses really help out.
Where's the 1 million dollar version with the real car??
I like how the case looks. But I certainly won't be getting this or an Xbox One any time soon.
I really like the case on the left.
