The lights are on
If you've been wondering how Rockstar will evolve online play for Grand Theft Auto V, your curiosity will be satisfied shortly. On Thursday, August 15, expect a new video on the connected modes the title will offer.
Grand Theft Auto IV offered 15 different types of online play, including competitive Deathmatch, objective-based team modes, competitive carjacking, and a number of co-operative choices. Whether Grand Theft Auto V will improve the formula or take the safe path is something we'll learn on Thursday. No specific time has been disclosed, but Rockstar will be showing the video here.

Our TakeGrand Theft Auto IV's multiplayer modes got a lot of buzz prior to launch, but I don't recall anyone raving about them once the game hit retail. There's room for great open-world multiplayer modes (just look at Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption), and it will be interesting to see what Rockstar has learned since GTA IV's release in 2008.

It's strange that I find myself not really excited for this game compared to previous GTA titles, for GTA 4 I went to a midnight release for crying out loud, and now it's like meh. I will play it though and I'm sure it's going to be great...oh well.
Didn't played GTA 4's multiplayer, not even after having played 100+ hours on the single player.. after finishing all the missions I went rampage (obviously)... but I did played RDR multiplayer and liked it, so I hope GTA 5's will be even better.
Got my 43yo girlfriend excited for this game with the game play video. cant wait for the multi-player details.
Cant wait another day just for this games release!
I hope that the multiplayer will be laid out like Red Dead Redemption
Please more lively like RDR
I cant wait for this ive been playing GTA IV online this whole summer.
Hopefully in free room for the multiplayer you can be able to do all that stuff you do in the single player unlike GTA IV and hope they have fun coop modes too!
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the online modes in GTAIV so I am incredibly intrigued to find out what they are doing with GTAV. This should be interesting!
