The lights are on
This is going to be a great weekend. Tim is making duck puns and playing Dark Souls. Many of us plan to eat grilled meats. Dan, apparently a man of few words, is consuming the only three things his body can process. What about you? Let us know what you're playing in the comments below!
Tim Turi: This weekend I need to really quack, err, I mean crack down on playing DuckTales for review. Besides that, I’m planning on giving Dark Souls another shot with our masochistic intern Brian Albert. Though, since he’s sitting down and guiding me through the punishing world of Dark Souls, I guess this makes him a sadist. I’m hoping he can show me what everyone sees in the game that I’m missing.
Kyle Hilliard: I’m still playing EarthBound and having a fantastic time. It’s funny how a nearly 20-year-old game is pulling me away from Pikmin 3, which released less than a week ago. Otherwise, it’s a pretty typical weekend. There may be some barbeque in there.
Mike Futter: Deep Silver has told me that I am most certainly allowed to let you know that I am playing Saints Row IV. I am most definitely playing Saints Row IV. MOST DEFINITELY. I'll also be working my way through more of the Injustice STAR Labs missions and playing around with Martian Manhunter. I want to give Pikmin 1 another try, since Jeff Cork has implied that my failure to enjoy it so far means that I took my childhood wonder out back and buried it next to the apple tree. I'll also be working through some more of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath on my Vita for a game club podcast with friends.
Last, but not least, I hope to receive my LEGO CUUSOO Back to the Future DeLorean this weekend. If so, expect a blog post soon with pictures of the in-progress fumbling.
Dan Ryckert: Wrestling, beer, BBQ.
Jeff Marchiafava: I’m dogsitting for my parents this weekend, so the game I’m going to play the most is “try to keep dogs from pooping in the house.” I’ve played it before, and it’s not very fun. Additionally, I’ll probably play more indie PC games on my laptop and a super-secret review game that I can’t say anything more about.
Ben Hanson: This weekend I hope to continue playing Brothers: A Tale of Tatooine or whatever. I'm sick of 505 Games publishing all of these artsy fartsy titles! Really though, it is an odd and solid game. Support something different; give it a try. Outside of that, I'll probably continue to die repeatedly with Rymdkapsel on iOS. It's an odd combination of an RTS, tower defense, and Tetris game. If I have time, I feel obligated to finish State of Decay even though the storyline is my least favorite part of that game. Have a good weekend!
I will be replaying through Secret of Mana for another playthrough. If I finish with that (doubtful) this weekend I will move on to Final Fantasy IV since I have never played the game to completion and I need to. Other than those games I will be spending a good chunk of my day at 2 birthday parties this weekend and watching the season premiere of Hell on Wheels.
For the most part I've been wrapped into Final Fantasy XIII even though I've been swapping in and out with Tales of Xillia (which is an fantastic game) Other then playing them 2 religiously I will be drinking Beer and trying to catch up on Breaking Bad!
Going through Diablo 2 on Nightmare difficulty. This game doesn't feel old at all.
For me it's Bioshock Infinite's Clash in the Clouds, some BOII, Mass Effect, maybe Dark Souls, and later on, going to the Olive Garden, and then off to see Black Sabbath at the Wells Fargo Center.
Tim good luck and it's all about finding your type of fighter, also I hope he's not walking you too much through the game only because the feeling of discovery and completing certain challenges is one of the games greater strengths. Anyways I will mostly be playing Dragon's Crown and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
I found an AV-to-HDMI converter for cheap so now I'm just gonna binge on Metroid Prime and Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne on my gigantic 22" HDTV.
Um lets see, I'll be playing Pikmin 3,and I'm about to finish Uncharted 2, and of course I'll be sprinkling some AC: New Leaf all around as well :)
Tales of Xillia will be filling my weekend. That, and some writing that I really need to finish.
Taking my buddy whom overcame cancer to a Kane County Cougars game tonight! His family and mine have been friends for my entire life, and I'm very proud of him and his outlook on life. He loves gaming as well, so it's always nice to play some Wii U with him. I'll be playing Pikmin 3 and hopefully starting Tales of Xillia this weekend, as well. Mario & Luigi Dream Team on Sunday, but I'd like to finish SMTIV before I begin that. Homework will probably put a dent into my gaming time, but I'm tearing up college so far. 4.0 GPA ftw!
After putting the game off for a year, I've been putting all my effort into beating dark souls and the artoias of the abyss dlc. I'm so close!!!
I have a ton of PS3 games to play which are the last of us,uncharted 3,infamous 2,killzone 3,god of war ascension, sly cooper:thieves in time, saints row 3 and xcom enemy unknown.
I'm going to try to be stealthy in Dishonored. Most likely I will fail and reload a save, but I've toyed with the idea of living the with the consequences of being spotted, and fighting my way out of sticky situations.
I'm playing Tales of Xillia, Pikmin 3, and Dragon's Crown this weekend and also I'm picking up the new Mario and Luigi Dream Team. This week has been super awesome for games.
Some Black Ops 2 with my inlaws on Xbox live, just got Unchained Blades on my 3DS so maybe a bit of that with Animal Crossing New Leaf of course. I really need to play Dark Souls since I still haven't finished it. Got plenty of games on my PC too like Morrowind GOTY and a couple I got from the Steam summer sale.
Dark Souls for me, 4 trophies to plat!
Playing STALKER (not putting the .s in there, way too much work) Call of Pripyat and SMT:DDS 2, I've been enjoying both immensely. I'll also be watching Branded to Kill and some more Ergo Proxy (still not sure if I like the show or not, I think I do, but either way I'm too far in to turn back now).
Well the map editor will have to wait, I had forgotten dawnguard added crafting arrows and hadn't had it installed for a while. Sneaky Wood elf Assassin will just be crafting armor this weekend. probably work on my speech skill too.
Trying to beat The Last of Us before someone spoils it for me.
How come nobody ever plays sports games??
