The lights are on
This is going to be a great weekend. Tim is making duck puns and playing Dark Souls. Many of us plan to eat grilled meats. Dan, apparently a man of few words, is consuming the only three things his body can process. What about you? Let us know what you're playing in the comments below!
Tim Turi: This weekend I need to really quack, err, I mean crack down on playing DuckTales for review. Besides that, I’m planning on giving Dark Souls another shot with our masochistic intern Brian Albert. Though, since he’s sitting down and guiding me through the punishing world of Dark Souls, I guess this makes him a sadist. I’m hoping he can show me what everyone sees in the game that I’m missing.
Kyle Hilliard: I’m still playing EarthBound and having a fantastic time. It’s funny how a nearly 20-year-old game is pulling me away from Pikmin 3, which released less than a week ago. Otherwise, it’s a pretty typical weekend. There may be some barbeque in there.
Mike Futter: Deep Silver has told me that I am most certainly allowed to let you know that I am playing Saints Row IV. I am most definitely playing Saints Row IV. MOST DEFINITELY. I'll also be working my way through more of the Injustice STAR Labs missions and playing around with Martian Manhunter. I want to give Pikmin 1 another try, since Jeff Cork has implied that my failure to enjoy it so far means that I took my childhood wonder out back and buried it next to the apple tree. I'll also be working through some more of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath on my Vita for a game club podcast with friends.
Last, but not least, I hope to receive my LEGO CUUSOO Back to the Future DeLorean this weekend. If so, expect a blog post soon with pictures of the in-progress fumbling.
Dan Ryckert: Wrestling, beer, BBQ.
Jeff Marchiafava: I’m dogsitting for my parents this weekend, so the game I’m going to play the most is “try to keep dogs from pooping in the house.” I’ve played it before, and it’s not very fun. Additionally, I’ll probably play more indie PC games on my laptop and a super-secret review game that I can’t say anything more about.
Ben Hanson: This weekend I hope to continue playing Brothers: A Tale of Tatooine or whatever. I'm sick of 505 Games publishing all of these artsy fartsy titles! Really though, it is an odd and solid game. Support something different; give it a try. Outside of that, I'll probably continue to die repeatedly with Rymdkapsel on iOS. It's an odd combination of an RTS, tower defense, and Tetris game. If I have time, I feel obligated to finish State of Decay even though the storyline is my least favorite part of that game. Have a good weekend!
Watch Replay, use this site.... play Borderlands 2.
Defiance, TLoU multiplayer, and going to the movies, other than work
Playing ff 9...and thats about it really, usual article reading, youtube watching, and a noir collection marathon might be possible..
This weekend I'm finally getting around to Bioshock Infinite (I know.) I plan to get a good way through the game and also want to see The Wolverine as well. Also, some much needed house work for good measure and maybe even some Banjo-Kazooie if I have time.
The Soul Series I swear I am so addicted Demon's and Dark souls are very fantastic games that with patients it is very rewarding. I love Dark Souls so much that I have bought it on PS3 X360 and plan on buying prepare to die edition off of steam sometime. Other than that go work early tomorrow go out with girlfriend and then back to football on Monday. Every one have a great weekend and Praise the Sun!!
After spending about eight hours playing Pikmin 3 with my boyfriend yesterday, I'm going to play something else. I just got Ni No Kuni from the library, so I started that today. The story and graphics are really great, but I feel like there has been almost no gameplay. Hopefully that changes farther in.
I'm really not sure I'll be playing anything besides MLB The Show 13? Don't know what I'm gonna do yet lol.
I'll probably be working on beating gta iv for like the 7th time before V is out
Pikmin 3, SMBU, The Last of Us, Fallout 3 amd Borderlands 2.
Most of my time will be occupied by the hilarity of Earthbound. How could it not be when this is my first time playing? I'll try to log some time in on Pikmin 3's Mission mode as well, but that will most surely end in an epic ragequit. I also won't be able to help staring slack-jawed at Pokemon's new Mega Evolutions.
I don't know what I'm going to play probably Borderlands 2, may start Borderlands 1 for the first time, really wanting to play through all the Mass Effect games again now that I have every DLC, and Black Ops 2 is something I'm really wanting to play again. Probably going to see
2 Guns and Elysium to.
Tim, don't play Dark Souls! You have to save it for a Super Replay!
I'll be playing Animal Crossing, Ni No Kuni, Earthbound, and maybe Skyrim... maybe. Also picked up a copy of Onimusha today so I'll be watching my husband play that. But for the most part my weekend will be devoted to the RPG's I mentioned.
It's been over a week since my 31/31 ended, so I'll likely be getting back into the thick of blogging by preparing a super special blog of movies I've seen this year and prepping a few others for later next week. I'll likely be nearing the end of my journey in Final Fantasy IX and finishing the first Phoenix Wright. I hope to get some significant progress done in Pikmin 3, but the call of Team Fortress 2 since I joined Steam this week may pry me away. Happy trails folks and enjoy these last precious dog days of summer.
Tales of Xillia.
I rented Pikmin 1 on Tuesday so I'll be finishing that up this weekend.
XCOM! I'm at the part where Ethereals & Sectopods are starting to appear. SO MANY SQUAD DEATHS. It's stupid hard but still stupid fun. :)
Hopefully I can jump into The Witcher 2 by Sunday. I like playing one game at a time so I can fully invest myself into the story.
Dragons Crown lots and lots of Dragon's Crown.
I plan on finishing Mark of the Ninja this weekend. I will probably play numerous other games also, as of the moment I cant find a game that will keep me coming back to it. I think i am just waiting for some newer games to come out that I am in the mood for.
