The lights are on
There has been some confusion swirling about Capybara Games' next title, Below. Co-founder Nathan Vella and creative director Kris Piotrowski have addressed the title's exclusivity on Xbox One.
Nothing has changed with regard to Below, and the title will still be available first on Xbox One. After a window of timed exclusivity, the plan is for Capybara to bring the game to other platforms.
"We’ve said it many times before, but it is worth repeating: working with Microsoft Studios has been great, and they deserve real kudos for putting our dreamy roguelike-inspired game of exploration and discovery in the spotlight at E3… and we are certain they’ll continue to do more of that going forward," the statement reads.
"This clarification is about answering our fans, and shouldn’t reflect negatively on Microsoft or Xbox One – they’ve been the biggest CAPY supporters out there (and also lets face it: Titanfall and Halo are going to be crazy delicious game magic)."
So, there you have it. Below will definitely be out first on Xbox One. It will likely be on other platforms later. Interested in learning more about Below? There's an extensive feature in the September 2013 issue.

Our TakeWhatever the confusion was about how Below would be available to fans, it should be put to bed now. The statement from Capybara couldn't be any clearer. While no other platforms are absolutely confirmed, it's a safe bet it's going elsewhere after the exclusivity window closes.
