Surprise! Overkill Software's Payday 2 is coming to Steam next week. The PC release date was announced this morning.
Payday 2 will also be coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on August 13, 2013. You can check out our most recent preview here.
Our TakeThis is good news for PC gamers, as a Steam release date has been a long time coming. This is the best possible outcome, and based on fan reaction in the Steam forums, there are a lot of happy fans.

Offline Co-op not Available for Splinter Cell: Blacklist Wii U
The developer Ubisoft Shanghai has announced that the new action game Splinter Cell: Blacklist will not feature offline cooperative play for Wii U.
"In order to ship at the same time as the other consoles, we unfortunately weren't able to delve into this feature," producer Liu Jun said. "But we think Nintendo gamers will be really excited to get the game at the same time as other consoles."
Game Products, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Wii U Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC
Online co-op and multiplayer modes will be available in the Wii U version.

Gamescom 2013 Update: Blizzard Entertainment to make Special Announcement on August 21
Blizzard Entertainment confirmed that it will attend the Gamescom 2013.
Every attendees of Gamescom 2013 should expect a "special announcement" from the developer of "Diablo 3" and World of Warcraft. Reported by a UK site, Digital Spy, Blizzard Entertainment has already sent an invitation to the press and it reads:
"We're making a special announcement that's sure to capture the attention of the Heavens, Burning Hells, and all the shadowed places that lie between."
Gamescom 2013 is set to happen on August 21 to 25 and it will be the fifth edition of the yearly consumer fair and trade show for games. It will be held at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.
