The lights are on
The latest iteration of Super Mario Bros. Crossover, the fan-created game that places different iconic video game characters into the world of Super Mario Bros., is available to play now.
Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Simon Belmont, Mega Man, Bass, Bill Rizer from Contra, Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden, and Sophia III from Blaster Master are all playable characters in version 3.0. It also adds new levels from the obscure Japan-only port of Super Mario Bros. that released for the Sharp X1 and the NEC-PC8801 PCs. This version of the game added new power-ups and enemies, and has a slightly different color scheme. Along with the new levels, there are also added difficulty settings.
You can head here to play the game now, and check out the game's announcement trailer below.

This time, it's special. ;)
I remember playing this game when it first released years ago. It's good to see that they are still improving the game.
My cousins and brothers were watching Twilight when I heard this announcement, so I said " Screw vamp blood, I'm jumping with magic mushrooms!" Bad True Blood reference, don't take drugs kids!
Looks really interesting, I will have to give it a go!
I just finish playing a few levels.
Its pretty effin great lol
Looks like I have something to kill time here at work with :D
Playing as Link at the moment. I'm enjoying this game so much right now.
At least Nintendo isn't dicks about Fan made games they just don't like when people make money directly of their product even though its free advertisement.
There is something that is so strangely satisfying about blasting through Mario levels as Mega Man. Thanks for the heads up G.I.!
I really like Protoman.
I'll try it out. This game series is awesome
Sweet. I can smash all of my cravings for nostalgia at the same damn time. Efficiency. YEAH!
played it on release two days ago. Very fun; I like what the "special" mode has to offer.
This is so much win!
Wow. That... was great.
This is amazing and I've waited a long time for someone to make this awesome revamping of a classic game. ^_^
