I would love to have a game I could actually play in front of my kids (without making them cry)
I have wasted too much time on this game and winning this is the perfect excuse to continue losing all that time.
I love games like Terraria. The old-school graphics and nostalgic charm of it all is a real treat for older gamers. Sometimes its nice to escape all the fps and tpots(third-person over-the-shoulder) monotony and games like this are the perfect diversion.
Don't write the game off as 2d Minecraft. Where Minecraft is about designing and building, Terraria is about exploration and crafting. Terraria has much more to offer in the way of progression, with multiple boss battles, a large array of different weapons and armors, and a very challenging endgame mode.
Never played this game before but i've heard great things about it, watching the trailers and gameplay, the art style looks amazing and it would be a great addition to play at my LAN parties/gamenights.
I bought a 4 pack during the Steam sale for my friends and I and we spent about 5 hours straight just running around in the game. It's severely addicting which just goes to show that a simple game can be deep and complex at the same time!
The chance for just about unlimited options to how you can play this game really does it for me. I love exploring the different options available. It has that obvious relation to mine craft, which I love. The 2d art style is perfect and while I haven't vested much time in it as I would like. I have enjoyed my time in Terraria and intend on spending quite a bit more if I win. *Pro Tip* pick me!
I need a copy for xbox. I bought it on ps3 and all my friends got it on 360 after i got it. I have nobody to beat the hard mode bosses with. Makes me want to bang my head on a wall.
I like the game on Xbox Live, but i prefer it on PC. Either way its a lot of fun and more incentive based then Minecraft, giving you more reasons to continue playing. The PC version is a little better in terms of controls, but both console and PC are cool.
I remember buying this game on Steam because of my love for Minecraft and loving it so much more. I immediately introduced it to my two greatest friends and we began playing multiplayer between bouts of brawl and WoW. I love Terraria and I can't wait for the next update.
This game looks pretty sweet and I've been looking for a good sandbox gane for my 360 besides minecraft.
I have never played Terraria before but my nephews and niece have a lot. I liked Minecraft so I would imagine I would enjoy, practically, a side scrolling, RPG version of it. If I had Terraria I could also continue my dominance as the favorite uncle by helping out my nephews and niece online.
I've watched Tobuscus play this a lot, and it looked like a lot of fun. Maybe I can pull my dad out of Minecraft for a few minutes to try this out. Plus, it's available on PS3, and we both have a PS3.
I've played this once before with a friend, and we had a lot of fun, however we didn't get very far. I would love to start playing again. I heard that it was very similar to minecraft, but has its really cool twist on that type of game. Also the sound design in the game is somehow really satisfying, and that music is awesome as well. I would love to build a world with my buddy on PSN!
I played the demo of Terraria on Xbox and I thought it was ok, but not good enough to shell out $15 for it. Winning a code would give me a chance to finally explore the game past the demo.
Loved the game when it first came out. Never really got into it again despite the addition of new content; Overall though, a really well made game. Cheers to the winner!
I played it back when it first released for xbox, been waiting on a chance to win it lol. I loved the game just been financially unable to. Aquire
Terraria is a fun game. You can do whatever you want and there's always something new to do. Its fun to play with friends and fells like a 2-D Minecraft.
I liked what I saw in a few videos, never actually tried it out. If it's more interesting than Minecraft, I might pick it up.
I had the opportunity to play the XBLA version of the game earlier this year. Most people summarize Terraria as a 2D Minecraft, which I agree with for the most part, but where Terraria excels is in exploration and looting. Most of my enjoyment from playing Minecraft comes from building and seeing my creations become "reality." While you can build structures in Terraria, most of my enjoyment came from constantly upgrading my tools/weapons and killing bosses. I haven't touched the game too much lately, but I'd love to dive back in and experience some more of what it has to offer.
