Still rather surprised to see Terraria come to retail, but I've had fun with it on PC! Real glad the game has local 4-player split-screen along with the online 8-player. Can't wait to try it out on consoles (namely PS3!)
I don't have a PS3 or 360, but as someone who's played on PC, lemme just say that this game is great. What an awesome giveaway, and g'luck to the winner!
Haven't played the game yet - waiting for the Vita version. But would LOVE to try the PSN version (wink wink)
I love this game! Castlevania type platformer meets Mincraft was the pitch I heard. Love playing this game with my kids. We made the mistake of starting in a medium sized world not realizing how big that would actually be. Great times.
I've never played the game and I'm willing to try it out
I enjoy the large open side scrolling world. The large amounts of craftable items keep me and my friends happy. My 2D house is amazing.
I like the game because while its not minecraft, its not trying to be. It just takes little bits and pieces to make a more streamlined, monster-hunter-rpg-mashup-thingy that works suprisingly well for a sandbox game.
I played a copy on my friend's PC.
I ran around and destroyed his castle, which he'd spent weeks on, and I gifted another friend some rare armor, which he refused to give back.
At the time, I didn't understand how I had screwed my first friend over. Perhaps my own PSN copy would teach me to respect Terraria.
It looks flipping awesome. Thought about getting it for the pc but decided not to. Oh well. I love how it's got laser swords, jetpacks, clouds in bottles and crazy cool stuff.
I've never played Terraria, not being able to get over the whole "Its just a 2d minecraft thing", however, my brother enjoys it immensely and I've watched him play it from time to time. I now know that it is a very different game than minecraft and would love to play it, without the pay. POOP
I've only played it once, but I think it's a pretty awesome. I like how you build the hotel and get other people to move in
All I really know about Terraria is that a friend of mine hates it. But he's kind of a jerk anyway so...
I didn't get to play this game for too long, but what I did play I wasn't very impressed with. I'll still take the free copy though :)
I haven't played it, but it sounds cool.
The game really captured my attention, and almost finally bought it a week ago (for the Xbox 360). Definitely need another game like this to play! I would love throw my hat in the ring for this promotion. Thanks GI for the chance, and good luck to everyone!
this game seems like a game i would gladly accept for free. those are my thoughts.
