Deep Silver Goes Humble With A Charity Bundle

by Mike Futter on Jul 30, 2013 at 09:48 AM

Deep Silver isn't the first publisher to partner with the fine folks at Humble Bundle, but they are doing it in grand style. Now, through mid-day on August 13, you can pay what you want for a big chunk of the publisher's back catalog.

For anyone interested in participating, the bundle includes Saints Row 2, Saints Row: The Third, Risen 2: Dark Waters, and Sacred 2 Gold. Soundtracks for the two Saints Row titles and Risen 2 are also included.

Paying more than the average gets you Dead Island Game of the Year Edition and Saints Row: The Third The Full Package (all of the DLC). $25 gets you Dead Island Riptide and that game's soundtrack.

Payouts can be split four ways amongst Deep Silver, the American Red Cross, Child's Play, and the Humble Bundle operations fund. Please note that if you already own one of the games in the bundle, you will not get an extra version to gift. This is for charity, after all. You can however, gift the entire purchase.

Check out the Humble Bundle on the official site.

Our Take
Deep Silver isn't the first publisher to use the Humble Bundle. When THQ did it before their collapse, it brought in over $5 million, a lot of which went to charity. Even if you don't like the idea of a publisher using the Humble Bundle, you can still pick up a lot of great games and support charity.
