The lights are on
Activision and Infinity Ward have today announced that the long-awaited reveal of Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer is taking place in just two short weeks. You'll be able to tune in to watch it live.
On August 14 at 10:30 am Pacific / 1:30 pm Eastern, visit the official Call of Duty website to watch the action unfold. We've heard a lot about the dynamic maps that will keep players on their toes, but this will be the first time we get an extensive look.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is out on November 5, 2013, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be coming later.
Our TakeEvery year, the Call of Duty multiplayer reveal is a big event for fans. New maps, new care packages, new score streaks, and new modes are all part of the excitement. Given the popularity of the franchise, it's no wonder that Activision makes this an event. Is Ghosts going to change anyone's mind about Call of Duty? Probably not, and that's okay.

I look forward to it.
I wonder if it will be more than 18 player?
I've never been a hardcore CoD fan and the last one that I bought was MW2 but this one looks pretty interesting since it has a new story line and character customization. I'm not going to address the multiplayer since it's always pretty similar but I'm hoping they can move away from pointless character deaths, random betrayals, etc. Also looking forward to see if they have co-op modes too (especially split screen, I bet I sank more hours into the SpecOps mode in MW2 with my cousin than I did with XBL multiplayer).
I hope that multiplayer will be different than the others Call of Duty games.
I agree with most of the comments about how the MP development team are essentially copying and pasting what Battlefield has been doing successfully for the past few years. I still play Call of Duty, but for only for the zombies portion because the MP has been very lackluster and meaningless since about COD 4-MW2. They need to make significant improvements instead of modifying the lighted spots of certain maps spots and slightly improving graphics. That is all that essentially sell people on for MP. The weapons have stayed considerably the same as well with no major changes done since MW2. And the new consoles will only enhance slightly some of the new graphical differences between consoles. I hope for Activision's sake that they can capitalize on the new ghosts aspect so that I can enjoy COD again instead of forking out sums of money just to play zombies lol.
Do you think they will announce the Collector Edition at this time too??
Looking foward to it.
Let's hope it's going to be better than past COD multiplayer experiences.
On the same engine. : /
Lets hope they have steped up this time.
Like noone knows what CoD multiplayer is all about.
I may keep a close eye on this one. I've said before I may pass up on this game, but if the MP really adds something truly significant, I may cave into yet another CoD game :P. Still not buying the expansions, though (never have, and I still enjoy the past CoD online brawls just fine :P).
