GameStop To Hold Shiny Legendary Pokémon Distribution Events
In anticipation of the upcoming Pokémon X & Y games for 3DS, The Pokémon Company is holding Pokémon distribution events at select GameStop locations in August, September, and October. Those who bring copies of Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, or White 2 along with their Nintendo DS or 3DS will be able to collect shiny versions of the fourth-generation legendary monsters – Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina.
The first event starts on Monday, August 19 and runs through September 8, during which players can get a shiny Dialga, the Pokémon Diamond cover monster. Palkia, the cover mascot from Pokémon Pearl, will be available in shiny form from September 9-29. Giratina, from Pokémon Platinum, will be available from September 30 through October 20. Players will need to have unlocked the Pokédex within the game and have no more than 11 wonder cards to be eligible. Call your local GameStop to determine if it will be participating in the 21-day events.
Pokémon X & Y will launch worldwide on October 12.

The dragon trio of Sinnoh in shiny form is extremely difficult to acquire in Pokémon Black/White under normal conditions, so these events could be invaluable for avid collectors. Don’t miss this chance to get three incredibly rare specimens.
