The lights are on
Here's your chance to ask a question to Game Informer's
resident pizza expert. Note: Your question doesn't have to be about
I've been an editor at Game Informer for about three and a
half years now, and one of the most rewarding aspects of my job is interacting
with the community. While coming up with some feature ideas for this month, I
decided what better way spend more time with our readers than by answering some
of their most burning questions?
So, here's how it will work: You ask a bunch of questions in
the comments section, and later this week I'll pick my favorite and post them
in a separate feature. Feel free to ask me anything, but here's a little more background
information about me in case you need topic ideas.
Ask your questions in the comments below, then check back
later in the week for answers!
Email the author Jeff Marchiafava, or follow on Google+, Twitter, and Game Informer.
Are there any sci-fi games that you really like, but probably flew under most people's radar?
Ha! Sounds like me. I have amnesia for pc that i bought from steam and still can't play it because my pc crashes if i even attempt to start it up.
Do you like being called "hang time"?
What's the worst thing you ever read or heard from a reader and actually responded to.
How angry we're you?
Hear me out here, would you box Dan if it was in one of those big bouncy house rings with the giant gloves half the size of your body? Less injury possible, but could still get your point across.
Also I think you're a very funny writer.
Do you regret the Ninja Gaiden Super Replay?
What got you into games, and what made you want to work at GI.
How you became the pizza expert
Jeff, I'm studying Journalism and my goal is to become a Video Game Journalist.
What tips would you give me? What do I need to become a great professional in this area of work? How's the life of an Editor at a Video Game site/magazine? How is the salary?
Video games are my biggest passion, and I can really see myself in the future working on a magazine like GameInformer. Thanks in advance!
Jeff M, do you think you should be in charge of the Replay Pizza Parties? Reiner seems to be good at avoiding throwing them.
What next-gen pizzas are you looking forward to?
What's your favorite pizza-related moment in a video game?
I also can be horrible at gaming despite 30+ years. What's your most embarrassing moment? I have plenty, though routinely getting lost in CoD's zombie mode and requiring my teammates' guidance/rescue is up there. : D
What next-gen console are you looking forward to more? Pepperoni, or Hawaiian?
what countries have you traveled to, and what took you to those places?
You say in your background information that you have a fondness for zombie games. Many a review, whether it be GI or IGN(GI is better in every way) or a random commenter who thinks they have as much experience as professionals, uses phrases similar to "yet another zombie game" or "a new addition to the already massive array of zombie themed titles", somewhere in the review. Do you think this is because the reviewer is writing the product off as just another game, or are they truly using such phrases as a description? Does it even matter that the idea isn't original?
Do you prefer real chicken wings, or disgusting boneless wings commonly eaten by the likes of little children and Dan Ryckert?
Are you getting a PS4 or Xbox One?
What is the hardest game you have beaten? How does it stack up against ninja gaiden?
How do you like to spend your free time outside of playing games? Also, where do you imagine you would be right now if you had not joined GI?
