The lights are on
This weekend we won't let silly things like obligations and responsibilities get in the way of our gaming time. We're trucking across rural Germany, surviving the zombie apocalypse, and booking some time with our beloved handhelds. What about you? Let us know what you're playing in the comments below!
Ben Hanson: This weekend my sister is getting married, which is a huge bummer because it eats into my gaming time. She's a selfish monster. I hope to squeeze in some Animal Crossing here and there. Have you heard of that game yet? Also, I borrowed a racing wheel from the office and am playing a lot of Euro Truck Simulator 2 on my PC. I know it sounds lame, but slowly and carefully driving a semi across Germany has its moments. Maybe we can record a Test Chamber of the game and role-play as a driver and hitchhiker or something. Have a good weekend!
Jeff Marchiafava: My gaming plans for last weekend got derailed by babysitting and house work (when did I become an adult? This wasn’t part of the plan!), so this weekend I hope to actually get to The Walking Dead: 400 Days and play more State of Decay. By now I’m sure my settlement has been completely ravaged by zombies, and I’ll spend most of the time babysitting NPCs and doing chores to maintain my safe house…wait a minute…
Tim Turi: For the past week I’ve been into Rogue Legacy. I intend to finish the addictive, roguelike platformer, but it’s getting a little repetitive right now. This weekend it may be replaced with some Shadowrun Returns, however. I dig the game’s XCOM-like combat and engrossing sci-fi/fantasy hybrid story. The environment reminds me of Blade Runner, which is a world I want to be lost in all the time.
Kyle Hilliard:
I will start EarthBound.Dragon’s Crown will follow that.More Picross e2.
Mike Futter: This weekend, I'll be revisting Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD for a game club podcast with friends. I'll also be playing more State of Decay, working through the STAR Labs missions in Injustice: Gods Among Us, and taking on the kids in some Super Smash Bros. Brawl. If time permits, I'll also dive into something on my 3DS and/or Vita.
Brian Albert: Instead of playing The Witcher 2 last weekend, I finished The Last of Us. Considering I've heard spoilers discussed around the Game Informer office, this was probably a wise decision. I couldn't get into Red Dead Redemption when I first played it, but I think I might not have given it the chance it deserved. I'll start it this weekend if I can find a cheap copy somewhere.
I'm gonna try to finish Ni no Kuni and get started on STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl.
I will be fighting some hidden bosses and doing some level grinding in Wild Arms 2. Other than that, I will watch the Doctor Who special tomorrow night and possibly rewatch Samurai Champloo on Blu-ray if I feel like it.
I finished crysis 3 this week now it's on to dead island riptide, I'm having a pretty fun time with it so far, just trying to knock my backlog down before the ps4 comes out!
Earthbound still
More Dynasty Warriors 8, when I'm not moving boxes to my new apartment. I just can't figure our how to recruit Wen Yang and this get the alternate story path in the Jin scenario. I just can't seem to get that one open, and it's starting to piss me off because I really, REALLY want to see what happens if my favorite character survives the assassination attempt.
For this weekend, I'm going to continue playing BioShock: Infinite, which is such an awesome game & it's thanks to you guys that I'm playing it haha, I watched your episode of TC on it :). I'm also gonna continue playing Fable 3 which I've just been getting back into & also Mass Effect 3, I'll probably start that again, still need to try some of the new DLC. So that's my weekend :D
Been playing Dead Island Riptide the past couple days. Then I'll probably boot up Borderlands 2 and finish the last two expansions I didn't finish yet. Should kill enough time for Saints Row 4 to come out :P.
Seeing Wolverine and then my cousins are visiting on Sunday. No gaming at all this weekend.
I recently downloaded Stealth Inc. on my Vita and I'm loving it. Really smart, clever puzzles without ever getting frustrating. Since the Jak and Daxter collection was on sale for the Vita a GS I decided I'd pick it up. Can't play the first one thanks to the frame rate but 2 and 3 work fine for the most part with the exception of the rear touch pad's input of a FPS view. Cant begin to tell you how many times I died because of that. Poor implementation of the rear touch pad is something that happens far too often.
Just started Torchlight 2 after buying it on Steam for $5. Great game but seems a little easy so far and not really that challenging. Stalled on State of Decay-is this game boring or am I jaded due to just coming off of The Last of Us?
This weekend will be a mixture of State of Decay, Animal Crossing; New Leaf and Earthbound. Good times :)
Dragon Age Origins and Animal Crossing for sure, and maybe some AC2.
Injustice, AC3, Battlefield 3, Halo 4,and maybe finish up with Fifa 13 :)
This weekend I'm going to continue playing LoL and Dark Souls, like always...
I'll definitely be taking the time to clean out my computer, lol. It's way overdue. Then, I may play some Bastion and Kentucky Route Zero. I have to do some writing this weekend to submit to a few magazines, too.
