The lights are on
This weekend we won't let silly things like obligations and responsibilities get in the way of our gaming time. We're trucking across rural Germany, surviving the zombie apocalypse, and booking some time with our beloved handhelds. What about you? Let us know what you're playing in the comments below!
Ben Hanson: This weekend my sister is getting married, which is a huge bummer because it eats into my gaming time. She's a selfish monster. I hope to squeeze in some Animal Crossing here and there. Have you heard of that game yet? Also, I borrowed a racing wheel from the office and am playing a lot of Euro Truck Simulator 2 on my PC. I know it sounds lame, but slowly and carefully driving a semi across Germany has its moments. Maybe we can record a Test Chamber of the game and role-play as a driver and hitchhiker or something. Have a good weekend!
Jeff Marchiafava: My gaming plans for last weekend got derailed by babysitting and house work (when did I become an adult? This wasn’t part of the plan!), so this weekend I hope to actually get to The Walking Dead: 400 Days and play more State of Decay. By now I’m sure my settlement has been completely ravaged by zombies, and I’ll spend most of the time babysitting NPCs and doing chores to maintain my safe house…wait a minute…
Tim Turi: For the past week I’ve been into Rogue Legacy. I intend to finish the addictive, roguelike platformer, but it’s getting a little repetitive right now. This weekend it may be replaced with some Shadowrun Returns, however. I dig the game’s XCOM-like combat and engrossing sci-fi/fantasy hybrid story. The environment reminds me of Blade Runner, which is a world I want to be lost in all the time.
I will start EarthBound.Dragon’s Crown will follow that.More Picross e2.
Mike Futter: This weekend, I'll be revisting Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD for a game club podcast with friends. I'll also be playing more State of Decay, working through the STAR Labs missions in Injustice: Gods Among Us, and taking on the kids in some Super Smash Bros. Brawl. If time permits, I'll also dive into something on my 3DS and/or Vita.
Brian Albert: Instead of playing The Witcher 2 last weekend, I finished The Last of Us. Considering I've heard spoilers discussed around the Game Informer office, this was probably a wise decision. I couldn't get into Red Dead Redemption when I first played it, but I think I might not have given it the chance it deserved. I'll start it this weekend if I can find a cheap copy somewhere.
I've decided to dedicate this weekend to a big Prince Of Persia marathon, I plan to start on the HD trilogy then replay the 2008 reboot if I can finish the other three.
I am going to be playing through Lego Chima Lavals Journey and Animal Crossing. I got 2 new games today well they aren't new they have been out for awhile Lego Harry Potter years 1-4 and years 5-7 brought them both off of Amazon. I brought Euro Truck Simulator 2 for the PC during the Steam sale so I will probably play that in between will probably watch some shows and movies to this wk end have a great wk end everyone.:)
DotA. That is all.
LoL, CIV V, COH 2.
Dark Souls, Rogue Legacy, Spec Ops: The Line.
As July come quickly to a close, I have many fine items on my to-do list: Get my 31/31 blog series for its grand finale, start planning for my 31/31 blogger group's epic joint blog [which you should see when it goes up on the 30th], playing more Final IX, more Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and getting pumped for The Wolverine. It'll probably be in that order, but maybe not if my tired brain doesn't get distracted by watching the series finale of The Adventures of Merlin on Netflix and playing around with trying to start Phoenix Wright for the first time. Looking forward to Ben Hanson's trucker simulator getting a Test Chamber episode too. Peace out and game, game, game the summer away.
Well I literally just beat Earthbound so now the weekend is clear. I'm either going to start my playthrough of Evolution for the Dreamcast or Dark cloud for the PS2. I've been on a real old school kick lately so either one should be fun.
Also going to make sure to see Wolverine on Sunday. Have a good weekend everyone!
Don't know what I will play this weekend :/ Probably more Halo 3, and Deadlight. And I might possibly dive back into Darksiders!
i have my cousin's wedding to attend......
More Majora's Mask for me. I also just started Cave Story+, so along with checking out more of The Basement Collection, I'll be playing that.
Left for Dead 2, SMT IV, Sleeping Dogs
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, The Last of Us, Fallout 3 and maybe Uncharted 3 or Tomb Raider. Oh, and some Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon
Dragon Age Origins,AC2 and possibly seeing the wolverine.
I've started watching Hellsing(which is way better than its Ultimate counterpart) and I intend to continue viewing that, as well as possibly getting the new shadowrun and going to see Pacific rim.
Just finally broke down and rented Darksiders 2 to see what all the fuss is about. I got bored with the first one but this one so far might hold my interest a bit more. Other than that I'll be flip flopping back and forth between Ride to Hell: Retribution (bought it the other day and I regret nothing!) and either a House or Parks and Recreation marathon.
Think I'll finish off the rice and beans that are in the fridge.
Maybe mix up some of that "juice" concentrate.
Then open Creation Kit and pretend to start working on my Skyrim mod only to realize, "Wow, what am I doing?" and then quit trying.
Maybe finish off my bottle of Jagermeister.
I've been off and on with Grand Theft Auto IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony, hopefully I'll stick with it longer and get further into the story than my previous playthroughs. Other than that, I might come back to Uncharted 3 multiplayer, ahhh, good times.
Today I'm watching a few episodes of Kamen Rider W and also I'm planning to get platinum of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
