The lights are on
The only time we ever see Nintendo's most famous women are in action, or in prison awaiting help, but artist Caitlin Russell imagines what their lives must be like between game releases.
Russel's portfolio is comprised of mostly original work, but her Icons pieces showcase a trilogy of characters that every fan of video games will know. You can head here to see bigger versions of the images above, as well as the process of creation. They're also available as prints that you can purchase.

Really digging the Metroid one.
Nice share GI! These are really cool.
Wow I was impressed to see the gallery! Great article two thumbs up!
Wow. That looks good!
Very cool images Kyle, thanks for webshare; now fix that hair of yours.
those are some pretty dope concepts
wow. I REALLY like the Zelda one. it looks fantastic. The Peach one is ok as well. Samus? idk about that one. Having half of her suit on not only looks weird, but IS weird. lol. Is she protecting her top half from something while her legs soak? lol. In the past, she either removes only the helmet, or the whole thing. The art is nice, but the concept doesn't sit with me.
Awesome. This person deserves serious kudos on steroids. Hope Russel gets a lot of money for these.
i really like the zelda rendition
Dang, Impressive. Is it just me or does Peach's face look.... off?
