A Visual Tour Of Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Boat

by Ben Reeves on Jul 20, 2013 at 01:40 PM

Update: Ubisoft sent over some additional photos to add to our virtual tour that includes cameos from actors Aaron Eckhart, Julie Benz, and Jennifer Morrison. You can check out the additional photos in the gallery below.

Original story:

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is all about pirates, so Ubisoft brought a real life pirate ship to Comic Con to show off the game's multiplayer. Come take a photo tour with us.

Our tour begins on the street. Ubisoft plastered the sidewalks across town with ads for the ship

And here it is, Edward Kenway's Jackdaw, docked right behind the San Diego Convention Center

Another angle on this beautiful boat

A Despicable Me 2 blimp hovers ominously in the sky

Let's go onboard. The Jackdaw is usually the Maritime Museum of San Diego, which tourists can visit to learn about the history of pirates.

Ubisoft covered up a bunch of that silly historical info and spread out some art and other details about Black Flag. We assume those are real historical fans

The cargo hold has been cleared out and Ubisoft is pumping video of Assassin's Creed on the side of the wall. Also, the cargo hold is very red

Black Beard is kind of like Edward Kenway's mentor, but it looks like his ship was really small

You can also play Watch Dogs and Splinter Cell on the boat...if you're here at the show

Also, try taking a nap in the captain's quarters, and then get yelled at by the museum's staff

Gamers check out Black Flag's multiplayer modes. Read more on that here

You can meet the Ubisoft team. Here's Ubisoft's resident block of wood, Raphael Lacoste

If you feel brave grab one of these real life historical weapons and try them out before getting arrested

You can also dress up like a pirate and have your picture taken.

There you go. After touring Ubisoft's pirate ship you pretty much know everything there is to know about Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag!

Something cool is always happening in San Diego during Comic Con. Remember the real life Wreck It Ralph cabinet from last year? If not, check it out here.
