The lights are on
During Gearbox's panel at PAX Australia, the studio announced HD remakes of Homeworld and Homeworld 2 and more downloadable content coming to Borderlands 2.
The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 will add 11 new levels to the current cap, as well as the Digistruct Peak Challenge. It will also allow players to "over level" the game allowing motivated players to add more challenge to the game. No release date for the Upgrade Pack was announced, but Gearbox confirmed that it will cost $5, and is not part of the DLC season pass.
A free update is also planned for Borderlands 2 that will increase the amount of ammunition players can carry, add new bank slots, and inventory capacity. These upgrades will be purchasable using Eridium.
Also on the way is T.K Baha’s Bloody Harvest, a DLC throwback to the original Borderlands' The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned DLC. Among the only details revealed for T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest is that it will include a boss battle against the pumpkin creature, Jacques O’Lantern.
Gearbox says that these are not the final DLC announcements for Bordlerands 2, and players can expect one or two more content add-ons.
Our TakeWith all of the DLC that is coming to and has already arrived for Borderlands 2, the game has almost taken on the qualities of a free-to-play title. It's not bad model to adopt though when it means the game is constantly updated with new content.

Here are my two cents (which you may consider to be worth nothing).. Being a player that has religiously played this and basically nothing else since the game came out last September I am thrilled to have even more content being released for a game I love. Having heard nothing but criticism over Developers who seemingly don't support their new titles at all I find it odd that so much criticism is being directed at a company that has done nothing but release more and more content for an already great game. Would everyone rather just play the vanilla version of BL2 and move on? And before anyone comments on the money factor, yes I realize that Gbx is making money on these dlc sales so they have motivation to create new content. But that goes for all developers and not all games are so lucky as to have 4 full-DLCs, 2 new characters, an 11 level increase, countless heads and skins, patches and fixes almost weekly and much more less than a year after release with more on the way.
I agree with what others have stated and I have no complaints with them releasing more content after and separate from the 1st Season Pass. They told us up front what was included in this Season Pass and have fulfilled their end of the bargain. Now that they know the game is still just as popular as ever and still warrants new content they want to release more DLCs and possibly another Season Pass? Go right ahead! As a consumer if you don't want to buy this second pass or want to pick and choose which of these new additions you'll take part in, feel free. But don't act like Gbx as in some way done you a disservice! They didn't advertise the First Season Pass as "All DLC for Borderlands 2".. It was advertised as Buying the first 4 Campaign DLCs for the price of 3 and they also threw in Gaige as a "bonus".. What is there to complain about? Pitchford confirmed months ago that a Second Season Pass and Post First Season Pass content was/could be in the works so why is this a surprise to anyone?
Rant over. Comment away.
This comment section is AWESOME.
Where is our DAMN MOONBASE!
Hey,as long as its good DLC il buy it.
D8 Now I regret blowing all my DLC money on another game!
Im glad that I waited to play through all the DLC. This game just keeps on getting bigger and bigger! Thank you Gearbox!
Cool, I hope this DLC is good. As long as Borderlands doesn't loose it's touch, I will probably buy it.
Oh, nice! More Borderlands 2 DLC is always good in my book.
I still have fun with the game even though I've beat it multiple times. I've had to take a break with it because even the best games can get boring if you play them long enough. Glad to see more DLC is being released, Gearbox definitely supports this game like crazy to push DLC out this long
Im not complaining:) its rare for me to still be actively playing a game nearly a year after release & the continual release of new content is definitely helping me keep enganged.
more content is always a good way to keep fans engaged in a game.
Man, they are really doing a lot of DLC for this game. It's so nice to see that! You really get good bang for your buck.
Yes! More Borderlands 2 is never a bad thing!
