The lights are on
Vanguard Games and 343 Industries made an announcement today that is great for those of us who have terrible patience. Halo: Spartan Assault, Microsoft's new top-down arcade shooter for Windows 8 mobile devices, will be launching today at 4 pm Pacific.
The game centers around Halo 4’s Sarah Palmer and the origins of the Spartan Ops program. The story itself slides in between the events of Halo 3 and Halo 4. Players who blow through all 25 missions will be able to gain experience points and unlockable Spartan emblems for their Halo 4 game.
Read our preview of the game for more details. If you have a Windows 8 device, you can go download the game today for only $6.99.

I would like to try this game out, but I don't have a Windows 8 device. Also, does anyone else find it funny Microsoft decided to make and then release a twin-stick shooter exclusively on platforms without twin sticks?
Thats... awfully unexpected but welcome?
Holy crap it all makes sense now. 343 Industries is a bunch of fans of the Halo series, but they are the bad ones who make terrible fan-fics with their own characters and put them in the lore. That's why there is a game about Sarah Palmer (and the other Spartan dude I don't know) and a new comic about the Sarah Palmer.
Nobody wants to use your stupid windows 8 operating system -_-
this game does look super good but it needs to be on 360 or i cant get it
This would be perfect for the PSVi...Oh wait...
this would be a cool spin off .........FOR *** CONSOLE lol
Would if I could, but I can't so I shan't.
