The lights are on
Ambition will get you far, and 19-year-old Alexander J. Velicky has put his to good use. The Skyrim fan has poured approximately 2,000 hours into his Falskaar mod in hopes of landing a job at Bethesda.
Velicky's Falskaar mod boasts 25 hours of content, unique quests, a huge dungeon that takes an hour or two to best, and unique audio. The voice acting was handled via an audition process, with 29 actors in 54 roles. The score by Adamm Khuevrr is original also and can be heard on YouTube along with a bonus track heard in the gameplay trailer composed by Julian Shanahan.
Velicky had the help of family, with his father supporting his work. The young designer was allowed to work full-time on the project, living rent-free with his father.
If you're interested in checking out Falskaar for yourself, it's available at Skyrim Nexus.

Our TakeUsers have reported that Falskaar is good. Very good. Bethesda should absolutely pay attention to the quality of the mod, the unique voice acting and an original score, and the detail work on books similar to those that litter the original game.
As significant though is the way in which Velicky approached this endeavor. He used the mod tools as a training tool, devoting an average of 38 hours or so each week. It isn't hyperbole to consider his work on Falskaar a full-time job. Here's hoping we see Velicky's name in the credits of the next Elder Scrolls or Fallout title.

Wow. So awesome that a regular person could create all of that. I wonder if he did all of the coding and creating himself. If so, Bethesda would be lucky to have him.
give this man a job
Imagine what this kid could do with several years of a good proper education in computer design and other related fields. If Bethesda is smart, they will pick this kid up, give him a job, pay for his education, and in 4 years or so, they will have an invaluable asset to their company.
Good for this guy. I hope he gets a job, he deserves it.
man i want to make games i just need to learn more about programing and art and the right programs i could do something like this or something more cool like killing Zieaza the lord of goblins the *** son of a dragon and goblin or funner like OOFauwanga the town drunk who acidently kills the god of gods and rules over and it is your job to get rid of him before he destroys skrim
ZIE ESIA OOF AWAAA AUNGA
Too... much.... TIME
The theme song is so touching.
Now that's impressive!!! Not just the time and the dedication put into the game, but the ability to organize and bring so many other people in on the game as well!!! @_@
Wow. That is dedication and passion.
wow... making this then turning out that he has landed a job at bungie as an assistant designer.. you really can get somewhere you want to.. even if it means that you may wanted to be in a particular position or point or place in achieving what you have achieved, but i would say this is a GREAT mod and therefore Bethesda should be seeing into all the other mods that are like this.. or even if its texture mods or quest lines or whatever that makes skyrim a Brilliant game other than itself.
