The EVO Championship Series 2013 has begun, with over 3,000 gamers gathering in Las Vegas to compete in nine games, including Super Smash Bros. Melee, Persona 4 Arena, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and Street Fighter X Tekken.
You can watch all the virtual combat live at the EVO official Twitch.tv site.
It’s been pretty amazing to watch the growth of competitive gaming in recent years. From shooters to fighting games to MOBAs, there’s a huge and growing audience that loves to watch the best of the best compete. While countries like South Korea led the charge in the field, it’s nice to see it becoming so successful in the United States. With Twitch.tv partnerships being part of both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, we expect the rate of growth will only increase.

The super smash bros stuff has been intense so far. Hype!
Sweet I will.
I've been watching the Smash for a few hours now.
Street Fighter is always my favorite one to watch.
These people have more crazy mad skillz than I would have. Best of luck to 'em. Hope they're happy now that they have Smash Bros. Melee there.
It's nice to see that the FGC is finally getting at least a little coverage, it could use more members.
does anyone know what time the smash stream is gonna go down???
