Super Smash Bros. Melee EVO Stream Breaks Viewership Records
The EVO stream for Super Smash Bros. Melee has not only broken records for EVO, it is now the most watched fighting game in history.
You can head here to check out the stream for the game, which is currently ongoing. The streamed has reached over 100,000 concurrent viewers.
This is after Nintendo shut down the stream, and then decided to allow the stream to move forward as originally planned.

Our Take
It's exciting, but perhaps not too surprising that Smash Bros. is setting viewer records. There's no such thing as bad publicity, right? By trying to prevent the stream, Nintendo has inadvertently generated excitement about it. The big question now is, how will Nintendo react? Will it ignore the fervor? Or will it recognize that there is a fan base that wants to watch Super Smash Bros. played online in competition?
