The lights are on
At Anime Expo 2013, NIS America announced that both Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Demon Gaze will be released for the US and Europe in early 2014.
Both titles will be released for the PS Vita and feature colorful, anime art styles.
Demon Gaze is part dungeon crawler and part dating sim. Dangan Ronpa is a little less classic JRPG, as it involves sleuthing to find the murderer in a Japanese high school.
Demon Gaze will be priced at $39.99. Dangan Ronpa has not yet been priced. Either of the titles catch your eye? Let us know in the comments.
Full press release for Demon Gaze is on page two. Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc press release is on page three.
Our TakeAlthough it doesn't seem that the titles are anything groundbreaking in the world of Japanese video games, both are welcome additions to the Vita for gamers of the western hemisphere. In particular, Dangan Ronpa looks like it could appeal to Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney fans. However, with the rating still pending by ESRB, Demon Gaze's popularity could be affected by whether or not the more adult elements of the game are kept in.
I'm so happy to hear about Dangan Ronpa! I can't wait for it
Demon gaze has gotten my attention can't wait for it to drop on the US shelves.
As a fan of Japanese game, this make me happy.
I'd just be happy to see more RPGs on the Vita. I've almost entirely burnt out playing Persona4 Gold & Disgaea.
I had no idea what Demon Gaze was until I read the news stories after the panel. The teaser trailer they showed at Anime Expo was really vague.
