Google's Homepage Is A Simplified Point-And-Click Alien Adventure
If you head to Google's homepage today, you will find that today's doodle is an interactive point-and-click alien adventure game commemorating the 66th anniversary of the Roswell UFO incident's reporting.
In the game, you play as a displaced alien trying to find the three parts of his dismantled ship. You'll collect items, which can be used with other items, and for all your hard work you are rewarding with Google search results about the supposed alien sighting.

Our Take
Google has done this sort of thing before. For Pac-Man's 30th Anniversary in 2010, the doodle was changed to a playable version of Pac-Man – and it almost destroyed our economy. According to this study from RescueMe.com, 4.8 million hours were spent playing the game costing $120,483,800 in lost productivity. We were very close to a world that looked like Fallout 3 all because Google thought it would be cute to let everyone play Pac-Man. Here I was thinking that Google's motto was, "Don't be evil," when really it should be, "Time and money. Is it really all that important? Why don't you play some video games instead..."
