The lights are on
If you love Sonic, have some money, and can be in St. Louis on August 10th, we have wonderful news.
Tickets are now available for Sonic Boom 2013. Themed after SEGA’s popular mascot, the festival features the band Crush 40 and has “loads of Sonic related activities.”
Sonic Boom 2013 will be held at The Pageant at 6:00 PM.
Our TakeI’ve never been much of a Sonic fan, but people getting together to celebrate something they love can’t be bad. I just want to know what those "Sonic related activities" are. More importantly, I’m going to have this song stuck in my head all day.
(Thanks to YouTube user Dino Nunez)
Cool. Ill bring my sonic 2006 t shirt.
www.youtube.com/watch this would be the song now stuck in my head. Thanks GI...
Where is Tim Turi sitting?
I like the Sonic Boom song
Still don't have SA3.
Hey, I live there!
I'd love to go! Too bad I live nowhere near Missouri.
i want to go
15 years ago this might have been relevant.
How was this NOT written by Tim Turi? In any case, I think the music of Sonic is actually one of the strongest aspects of the 16-bit games. I have heard tons of remixes on OCRemix that just make the nostalgic bits of my brain go wild. I hope the event goes well, but I'm not driving to St. Louis from Austin, TX for this.
Crush 40 is one of the reasons why I still really like Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 - if you ever liked 80's Hair Metal, you should have no trouble digging these guys. Immediately lent Sonic Adventure a more grown up edge than previous generations' Sonic games. And this series has always had fantastic music, so in addition to the vocal themes from more recent entries, I hope they have some of the tracks from early games. Live versions of good video game music can seriously be awesome - the Legend of Zelda Symphony tour that's been going on this past year prove that, as well as things like Video Games Live.
I don't know why St.Louis chose to do this, but it should be pretty cool. Enjoy it Southern Sonic fans.
I'll go, only if Crush 40 plays "City Escape" for an hour.
"He is strong, he can fly, he can reach the other side...of the rainbow." Catchy song but dang those lyrics are cheesy.
*Singsong* *Roaming around at the speed of sound, got places to go gotta follow my rainbow*. I wish I could attend this epic concert. ^_^
(*gasp*) Now my life is complete.
