The lights are on
Publisher XSEED and joint developer Grasshopper Manufacture and Kadokawa Games are giving those who rush out and buy Killer is Dead that gigolo swagger.
All launch copies of the game come included with an 80-page hardcover art book, soundtrack CD, and the Smooth Operator DLC. This DLC includes in-game Gigolo Glasses, a Gigolo mission with Betty, a separate episode with Sebastian, and alternate costumes for Vivienne and Mika.
Killer is Dead is out on August 27 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. For more on the game, check out Kim's impressions from E3.
Our TakeIt's great to see more and more companies step up and give back to their loyal fans. Most games do these kind of deluxe-editions-as-default for preorders, but perhaps XSEED is following Atlus' model where the production run of a game is relatively low so the company doesn't waste money making games that don't sell.

A game with this great art style has an artbook....Amazing.
Okay, I need to pre-order...NOW!
After all this e3 Hype I nearly forgot this game, need to pre-order now!
Already planned on pre-ordering the next time I went up. This news just makes it better.
I'm gonna get this for sure! The game looked great to begin with, but with this new stuff? Even better.
It's time to save as much money as possible. I mean, how can I not get this?
Haha, glad to get something out of it then.
Suda51 is one of the greats
I was going to get this game at launch. So I am happy that this pre-order is sweetening the deal.
If only they were real life gigolo glasses...
This shaping up to be a good year for gamers. My pre-orders for this year haven't let me down. And extra kudos to XSEED for including the glasses and artwork book. This game is flying under the radar, but should definitely be one to watch. I haven't played a Suda 51 helmed game since the Samurai Champloo semi-rhythm based, button masher on the PS2. Now that was crazy, but fun, and had good graphics for its time.
