The lights are on
Last week, the official Prince of Persia Facebook page teased that new information would be appearing this week. It appears that this teaser was in reference to a new mobile Prince of Persia game.
The game has the subtitle The Shadow and the Flame and should be releasing this summer. Ubisoft is teasing upcoming contests and sweepstakes in relation to the game. You can head here to learn more, and you can check out the trailer for the game below.
In the interest of clarification, Shadow and the Flame was actually revealed back in April, but last week's Facebook update seemed to imply that the the teased reveal was for something new. It's strange to tease a game that has already been announced, which is why we were initially excited to learn more.
Our TakeIt's disappointing to learn that what's next for Prince of Persia is a mobile title, but mostly because I let my imagination run wild when I read this story. There was no evidence necessarily hinting at the game being a new console Prince of Persia, or even a new Prince of Persia game for that matter, but a man can dream. A dream about an unnamed Prince defying the laws of physics to run alongside walls. I can always hold out hope that whatever this is, it might be something Prince of Persia-related.

Total disappointment, i was looking forward to either a sequel to either the 2008 game or Forgotten Sands at least, the water and flashback powers has a lot of promise.
I don't know what it is but in the last two month there were three teases for new games (Deus Ex, Colin McRae Really and Prince of Persia) that got me really excited. Turns out every game is for mobile devices, which is a huge disappointment.
Boooooooooo What's with the stupid studios leading up all this hype and then it's some crappy mobile release...lookin' at you Deus Ex and now Prince of Persia.
It figures. Welcome to the brave new world.
What a shame.
This is infuriating.
So much fail. I guess the PoP series really has reached the end now. Too bad, I loved Warrior Within and would have loved to see another game like that.
Ugh. I want more Prince, but not on my iPad.
Ugh, first Final Fantasy, then Deus Ex: The Fall, now this? WTF
Disappointing but ill still play it
