The lights are on
Last week, the official Prince of Persia Facebook page teased that new information would be appearing this week. It appears that this teaser was in reference to a new mobile Prince of Persia game.
The game has the subtitle The Shadow and the Flame and should be releasing this summer. Ubisoft is teasing upcoming contests and sweepstakes in relation to the game. You can head here to learn more, and you can check out the trailer for the game below.
In the interest of clarification, Shadow and the Flame was actually revealed back in April, but last week's Facebook update seemed to imply that the the teased reveal was for something new. It's strange to tease a game that has already been announced, which is why we were initially excited to learn more.
Our TakeIt's disappointing to learn that what's next for Prince of Persia is a mobile title, but mostly because I let my imagination run wild when I read this story. There was no evidence necessarily hinting at the game being a new console Prince of Persia, or even a new Prince of Persia game for that matter, but a man can dream. A dream about an unnamed Prince defying the laws of physics to run alongside walls. I can always hold out hope that whatever this is, it might be something Prince of Persia-related.

I shouldn't judge before I get a chance to play it, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm disappointed.
Of course it is -.-'
Hopefully they have another one in the makes. No? Dang
So we got troll'd? *sigh*
I...... Hate...... Mobile..... Games......
Screw the game, "Our Take" is back! Yesss!
Seriously?? Son of a hampster!! Was so looking forward to a console Prince of Persia. I don't even own a device that can play this... *Sad face*
That awkward moment when someone comments they're excited for this (no offense to anyone who actually is).
***, i was hopeful that game for the PSvita.
first microsoft then spare now ubisoft with this
down with mobile gaming
mobile gaming must die
It looks cheap.
Mobile games (in 99% of the cases) = turds
But, but...I don't like mobile games. I was really excited to see what they had in store, this is just disappointing.
What the hell? Developers need to stop putting console games on iOS because that is just half-arseing it, mobile games are cheap, easy to make and most often just an easy cash grab based on the franchise.
It doesn't look that bad, but...really? A new PoP for consoles would be great, but I suppose the geniuses at Ubisoft believe otherwise.
