The lights are on
Last week, the E3 2013 Game Critics award nominations were announced. The group, comprised of 30 outlets (including Game Informer), submitted votes for their favorite titles at this year's Expo.
Now, the awards have been announced. Titanfall takes home six awards, setting a new record for the Game Critics Awards. A majority of the winners (eleven of fourteen) will be available on PC, with ten coming to Xbox 360 and Xbox One, four arriving on PlayStation 4, three for PlayStation 3, and one each for Wii U and Vita. Titanfall? Really? CoD will probably enjoy it and it doesn't look broken but other than that it doesn't seem special.
Wow. I was not THAT impressed with Titanfall
I do not think for a second that Titanfall should be getting all of the praise that its getting... Its mechs.. not a huge deal..
Seriously, how did Destiny get shut out? I'm much more excited for it than Titanfall. So disappointing...
Titanfall apparently kicked arse.. I wasn't that impressed with it, more interested in Destiny.
I feel like Titanfall is becoming a bigger deal then necessary. Already so tired of all the attention its getting, causing everyone to only talk about one thing.
It's Clearly apparent that Titanfall sucked at E3. I do appreciate the disclaimer that these are games that were playable at E3. If that wasn't the case I would definitely put the division and MGS V to sweep some of those categories up.
I don't get it. Titanfall doesn't even look that cool to me. Another shooter with fun mechanics and little story. Fun looking, yeah, but best? hmmmm
But the playable thing makes sense. It's probably way better than Fantasia. I would like to see what game critics are most excited about-- not just what was best of the few playables.
Wow. Titanfall sure won a lot of awards.
I still don't understand why Titanfall got so many awards. I simply don't get it. But Destiny won nothing? Really? What a shame. Having Titanfall win all these awards also puts other games that were up for the award in a position as if they weren't good games. To me at least, the other games nominated for the awards were much better.
Titanfall looks cool, but this is waaaaaay too many awards for a single game.
How redundant, Call it the Titanfall awards why don't you....I'm not even interested in that by the numbers FPS (mechs and parkour, that it?..)
I counted six games coming to 360/xbone. How did you come up with 10? Did you count Titanfall multiple times?
I am excited for Titanfall even though I won't be playing it but the Best Original Game definitely should've gone to Tearaway IMO.
Will this industry ever evolve?
