The lights are on
Starting on Monday, you'll notice something new at the bottom of all of our news stories. After you're done reading the facts, you'll have a chance to hear from the author in a new section we're calling "Our Take."
The purpose behind Our Take is to give a bit more context and color without compromising the integrity of the factual reporting. The new section will give Game Informer's editorial staff a chance to contribute additional analysis to all of the day's news.
This won't appear in every piece, just our news stories. Our features, opinion pieces, previews, and reviews won't be affected (they are already full of opinion and analysis). We're eager to hear your feedback as we pilot this new format, so be sure to sound off in the comments.
Email the author Mike Futter, or follow on Google+, Twitter, and Game Informer.
Can't wait to see how it goes.
I would like to see this as a continuing trend on here
Sounds awesome. Look forward to it.
Very good, and there better be some funny opinions, ya hear!?!
I like the sound of it.
Sounds like a great idea.
Will you fix your video players? And are you hiring for anything video production wise internally?
This will make an already amazing site even better!
I like this idea. Gives the readers a different perspective.
Sounds pretty good. Looking forward to seeing how it works out.
That sounds like a good idea. I'm eager to read the first batch on Monday.
I always find things that I wish I could hear your opinion on. I like the sound of this format.
This is the sort of thing that every major news organization needs to do all the time. Good on ya, GI.
You guys always do a great job of keeping personal opinions out of the straight news stories, so it'll be nice to see some extra analysis along with it, especially if you have any "rumor has it" type info.
