The lights are on
Starting on Monday, you'll notice something new at the bottom of all of our news stories. After you're done reading the facts, you'll have a chance to hear from the author in a new section we're calling "Our Take."
The purpose behind Our Take is to give a bit more context and color without compromising the integrity of the factual reporting. The new section will give Game Informer's editorial staff a chance to contribute additional analysis to all of the day's news.
This won't appear in every piece, just our news stories. Our features, opinion pieces, previews, and reviews won't be affected (they are already full of opinion and analysis). We're eager to hear your feedback as we pilot this new format, so be sure to sound off in the comments.
Email the author Mike Futter, or follow on Google+, Twitter, and Game Informer.
I like the idea. I always enjoy GI's opinion pieces, so hopefully this will lead to shorter, but more often pieces on stories that interest me.
Sounds like speculation... hmm
Cool, I can't wait to see what you guys have to say.
Sounds like a nice addition.
Sounds good. Im curious.
Awesome! I've been waiting for something like this to appear.
awesome. i like the idea of having a separate section more for opinions, if that what this is for. I like fact reporting to be mostly fact (that is to say, without opinion), but still value the opinions of the GI staff. now i will be able to enjoy both sperately
I think this will be a great addition. I'm sure there are plenty of things you guys have to add or say about topics that the rest of us haven't heard or thought about.
This is the coolest, as someone who has always appreciated GI for its more personal attitude I love this new touch
Interesting, Can't wait to see it!
Not sure I want more biased opining from the biased Game Informer.
Good idea. Sometimes the opinions of people make their way into the news and can be somewhat unprofessional.
This is a cool idea.
Sounds pretty cool. I'm looking forward to seeing it implemented.
Like i said, keep up the good work:)
sounds good, i'll be sure to check it out
