The lights are on
Video games are great, but some of us – not pointing any fingers – would rather bother with vehicle maintenance this weekend.
Tim Turi: With The Last of Us and Metro: Last Light all finished, I’m turning my sights on State of Decay. I’m in the mood to scavenge and scrape by in an expansive open world filled with zombies, so that’s likely where my free time will go. I’ve also been debating playing through The Last of Us again and starting Final Fantasy XIII-2.
Kyle Hilliard: I am getting my oil changed this weekend.
Ben Hanson: This weekend I'm finally going to start playing The Last of Us. The only downside is that there's a giant community parade happening outside my home immediately after I leave work on Friday and it'll be tough to concentrate on the apocalypse when there's laughing and fire-truck sirens outside. Outside of that, I'll continue to play the fantastic State of Decay and Animal Crossing.
Jeff Marchiafava: This weekend I hope to finish up The Last of Us. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the game, and feel like it’s wrapping up at just the right time. Once The Last of Us is complete, I plan to finally check out State of Decay, which I’ve been waiting to play for a long, long time. I’m aware of the game’s flaws, but still can’t wait!
Brian Albert: If I don't finish The Last of Us this weekend, I have failed. I recently picked up The Witcher 2 on Steam for a good price, so maybe I'll start my way through that if time permits. Otherwise, I'll dabble with Animal Crossing and try to figure out what is going on in that world.
Andrew Reiner: RIDE TO HELL: RETRIBUTION ALL WEEKEND LONG!!!
What about you? Let us know what you’re playing in the comments!
Still playing The Last of Us.
Packing my bags for a holiday, but there should be plenty of time to suck at Last of Us's multiplayer.
About two levels left in The Last Of Us. I can't believe how powerful the story and characters are in the game. That along with the tense and fantastic gameplay has made The Last Of Us my favorite game. Other than that I'll be playing the slaughter-fest that is Hotline Miami on my Vita. Have to say, I thought it was going to be a game where I want to throw my Vita at a wall, somehow though, I find it slightly relaxing.
Starting the weekend by taking my buddy to Twin Peaks for his first time, just imagine Hooters with more reveling outfits. Than on Sunday getting 2 hour full body massage and yes it will be awesome, after that going to go see World War Z with the wife and Spin Pizza for dinner. As for gaming this weekend it will mostly be The Last Of US and the amazing indie title Hotline Miami.
FFXIV: ARR Beta weekend!
Minecraft and Mass Effect 2, I'm finally going to finish that game.
I'll be wrapping up my playthrough of the highly underrated game Binary Domain. I'm having a blast with its insane bosses. Other than that I'd like to continue in my Last of Us play through, and maybe play a little Battlefield 3.
I finished The Last of Us earlier this week and beat the main story of Tiny Tina's Dragons Keep DL content in Borderlands 2 last night so I decided to download State of Decay and try it out. Still have an hour or so to go until it finishes DLiing on my Xbox but it looks sweet. Not a lot of good games coming out between now and the next gen systems but tons of good downloadable content coming soon with the current games.
Tiny Tina's assault and some last of us multiplayer
Borderlands 2, and maybe the State of Decay demo. Also some Dead Space maybe?
I'll be working through the Tiny Tina dlc with my Zero, and watching the Doctor Who special tonight. Beyond that, I am not sure yet.
The Last of Us and XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
the last of us and some borderlands 2 and little darkstalkers resurection but on a side note what kind of car dose kyle have that it takes up an enitre weekend just to change that oil
Just finished The Last of Us. Definitely my GOTY so far. But I discovered something terrifying. No, not that Cordyceps is real, everyone knows that by now. What I discovered is that Cordyceps is actually harvested, ground up, put in a pill and sold as a dietary supplement.
PEOPLE ARE INTENTIONALLY PUTTING CORDYCEPS INTO THEIR BODIES.
If this stuff really does mutate to attack humans, there's already people ready to infect themselves. Maybe that's how the initial infection started.
I played through a little bit of The Last of Us again. In fact, I shared it with three of my friends and they are all interested now. I'm debating whether or not I should attempt to get some more trophies in the game; I already have a majority of the collectibles/upgrades. Also, I need to finish up some more of my Playstation Plus games before my free month trial expires. I bought the Mass Effect comic so I can skip over the first game and finally play the second. I need to just give up on trying to enjoy the first one.
I still haven't gotten a chance to go pick up the Last of Us, so with that being said I will probably play some more Defiance, Dead Space 3 new game+ mode, and I need to finish up God of War Ascension which I've had forever but had it on the backlog..along with so many games. Hell I still need to finish the Witcher 2 and XCOM Enemy Unknown. So many games sooooo little time.
