The lights are on
Recently, Metal Gear mastermind Hideo Kojima mentioned that he'd love to see a remake of Metal Gear Solid. His Twitter invitation didn't go unheard, it seems.
Well, if there's some creator or team in this world who has love and passion to remake "MGS1", I would love to ask for it. — HIDEO_KOJIMA (@HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN) June 27, 2013
Well, if there's some creator or team in this world who has love and passion to remake "MGS1", I would love to ask for it.
Just Add Water, the studio behind the remake of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath and the upcoming Abe's Oddysee remake Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty wants in. In a statement on the company's website today, Stewart Gilray and company have laid out their bona fides.
Dear Mr Kojima,
We read with great excitement on VG247 that you were looking for a studio to work with to develop a Metal Gear Solid remake using the Fox Engine, that your team has been hard at work creating.
We at Just Add Water feel ideally positioned to do the remake justice for several reasons
For evidence of our abilities, please check out not only the HD treatment of Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath, released on PlayStation3, VITA and PC, but the current re-creation of Abe’s Oddysee, titled Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty.
We eagerly await your response.
Love and cuddles,
The JAW Team.
We're with you, Just Add Water. We are very eager to hear what Kojima-san has to say about your generous offer.

I would wanna play one.
YEESSSSSS
Hmm, yeah, we've already had MGS. If they could remake the first two Metal Gear games, though, that would be pretty sweet!
Kojima-san should totally do the Metal Gear remake with them. If successful (which no doubt it will be) go to Metal Gear 2: Solid snake, then to get a very nice Metal Gear Solid remake.
ooohhh snap here we go! If not can i remake it?
That would rule
I would love that.
The Metal Gear games are really what need to be remade. MGS1 had a remake on the gamecube and MGS1's backdrop was completely revisited in MGS4. I feel like Shadow Moses has been explored enough, do something different that warrants being called a remake.
And now we wait with bated breath.
as someone who missed it back when it 1st came out ( along with twin snakes) i've never bothered to give the series a real shot , it could be the thing to draw me in ,granted i could boot up a emulator or buy psn version( i assume its on there) but i have issues trying to go back to that gen of games.
Here's my wallet, take the whole thing...and make sure it doesn't have dancing/spider monkey/matrix snake.
Sounds like an awesome ideal.
They're pretty good with remakes it seems, so this would be welcome news.
