Hideo Kojima Impressed By Ubisoft's The Division

Ubisoft was surprised to receive a celebrity game designer guest visitor at its E3 booth to check out The Division, but it was even more surprised to hear the excellent feedback from the man who created Metal Gear Solid.

After seeing the game, Kojima told Japanese gaming site 4Gamer that the The Division has set a bar that he feels Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has to beat. DualShockers translated this quote from Kojima that appeared on 4Gamer:

"I thought it received a good reaction, but after seeing Ubisoft’s The Division I felt I have to work harder. At E3 we’re fighting against the powerhouses of the whole world. At one time I thought I managed to win that battle with Metal Gear Solid 3. For that reason we gave ourselves the objective to “win the world once more” with Metal Gear Solid V. The V in the title is the V for victory."

Kojima has never been one to hide his opinions about the video games he likes, and he seems to appreciate what Ubisoft is doing in particular. In Metal Gear Solid 4, players could unlock an Assassin's Creed skin for Snake to wear.
