The lights are on
Current-gen systems are getting what may be one last dose of Dragon Ball Z – with an extra Z on it – with Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Vita.
It's s co-op brawler title where teams of four can take on other teams of four, and the trailer also shows battles with the giant monkey forms that Saiyans are known to turn into.
The trailer below is for the European version of the game, which is coming soon. Hopefully we will learn more about a North American release for the game soon.

i just hope its good dbz games are super hit and miss
Like we need another DBZ game...show some love to other anime titles like Bleach or Naruto.
Looks good. Maybe my next fighting game. Just maybe.
good to see that DBZ games are still neing made.
Cannot wait for the Test Chamber on this! DBZ games are usually pretty complex when it comes to controls (not since Budokai have they been relatively easy to pick-up-and-play). Now they're doing 8-person free for alls? 4v4 team battles? I love that they're freshening this up, but man, that's gotta be pure CHAOS! Gonna make for some hilarious videos!
I've been a DB fan since I was a little kid. This one has potential, but I'm also with most of the folks posting. This series is done! Someone needs to pick up the franchise & make an Action RPG/Fighter hybrid. Something in the same direction as Jade Empire & Zelda, but more depth with character backstory like a Final Fantasy RPG.
I'm really digging the new art style on this one, looks like a real improvement from Burst Limit. Can't wait to see what the next-gen DBZ games will look and play like.
I love the DBZ series so much since the first day I watched it. I hope this game is well made and everyone gives it a chance.
If the story only lasts until the Frieza Saga, then it's a no-no
People keep saying this game might not compare to any of the previous one's and I have one question for you, are you f'in crazy?! This is the first DBZ game that allows multiple player's on the fighting stage at a time. Sure before you could call help or perform a tag combo or something, but this is the first time from beginning to end you can have up to 8 people fighting at once. That is insane and what DBZ games have been missing since the beginning. This game WILL be the greatest DBZ game ever, no question about that.
Will there be a single player?
Now fans can relive the Frieza saga for the 733th time - with up to 8 players!
I won't purchase another DBZ game, it's already 15 of them and I'm sick of the Z universe.
Now, if they make an Dragon Ball adventure game in cell-shaded 3D...
Whenever a new DBZ video game is announced, it does nothing but add to a steady stream of missed opportunities. Nowadays they only sell well because of brand recognition. It certainly isn't quality that is keeping the anime's video game branch alive. They've long been outclassed by every other fighting series on the market. Games like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Tekken have at least tried to evolve since the early 2000's.
With DBZ, the potential is there for a great fighter. But I doubt the developers will ever feel the need to create a truly great DBZ fighting game as long as people keep buying them based off name only. Sadly this is what happens when a licensed property becomes addicted to merchandising.
well i know what my brothers will be asking for:)
